Senior Strategist

Summary of Position:

The Senior Strategist role sits within the Strategy & Communications Group – supporting strategic marketing initiatives for both new and existing client-projects. This role reports directly to the VP, Strategy & Comms. They will ensure programs and campaigns are insight-driven, ownable to the brand, resonate in culture, and are executed at the highest level.  

This person must have the ability to develop integrated experiential campaigns that cut into culture and consumers lives. From initial insight to final programs, this person must be able to craft a strategy into a persuasive story that inspires creative teams, generates amplification through PR and social channels and excites our clients.  

This position will join an ambitious team of multidisciplinary strategists and marketing experts. This position will have the opportunity to develop strategic initiatives by working cross-functionally to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and advise senior clients on a regular basis. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role that will require a confident marketer, leader, writer, and speaker with a passion for brands and a deep fascination with culture and the role brands play within it.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to our creative teams ensuring we’re delivering integrated & multichannel ideas rooted in culture, consumer, industry and fandoms 
  • Create and present thoughtful and provocative strategies, creative briefs, and brand experience plans 
  • Support key strategic projects to fulfill client deliverables and execute exceptional programs 
  • Support the VP, Strategy & Comms and SCG team in day-to-day strategic marketing output 
  • Provide strategic positioning to all internal, client, and agency partner communications  
  • Connect the full range of NVE capabilities for our brand partners including; brand experience, content, communications, creative strategy, content, and sister agencies: Cognition (Interactive) & The Future Party. 
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of the entertainment industry, consumer brands within the world of entertainment landscape, and competitive activity and proactively educate internal team on findings 
  • Guide the development integrated marketing plans inclusive of PR, social, influencer, and partnerships for our integrated marketing clients 
  • Brief and oversee communications consultants (PR & Creator) and leading the charge on integrated marketing campaigns 
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to develop breakthrough ideas/strategies for existing brands  

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing and brand solutions 
  • Experience includes brand management or strategy, experiential, advertising, content strategy, media, events, digital marketing, and/or PR 
  • Creative problem-solving, and a doer/builder of beautiful, insightful strategic positions and programs 
  • Experience in the CPG space, entertainment (film, tv, music) and lifestyle industries preferred 
  • Experience in multichannel comms planning; executing programs featured earned and influencer extensions & partners 
  • Experience working within an IAT with multiple agency partners preferred 
  • Experience working with multicultural audiences marketing programs preferred  
  • Ability to think creatively with evidence of success in developing brands and delivering them to market. 
  • Ability to earn client trust and instill confidence in our partners in their ability to understand culture, specifically the world of entertainment and the role the brand plays within it 
  • Experience leading day to day marketing operations with relationships with press, content creators and talent / influencer agencies and understanding of media 
  • Strong communication skills, an imaginative writer, and enthusiastic presenter. 

Location: We are a hybrid company with hub locations in Los Angeles and New York. The ideal candidate is in either hub location, however, we will consider remote candidates for this role.

Salary Estimation: [$90,000.00 - $115,000.00, plus incentive bonus]

NVE intends to provide a competitive total compensation package which includes a variety of incentives, benefits, growth and developmental opportunities.There are many factors to the presented salary range, including but not limited to - location, departmental budgets, certifications, and overall job-related qualifications.
