Summary of Position:

We are seeking an Account Executive to counsel key Clients and lead the development of experiential marketing strategies, campaigns and projects, and events.  The Account Executive will act as the day-to-day lead for selected NVE Clients, providing them with an unprecedented level of communication efficiency. The role will require working directly with assigned producers, designers, and account managers to oversee smaller campaigns, events, or workstreams within a larger program. Candidates should have exceptional interpersonal communication and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to think strategically, problem solve, project manage, and facilitate multiple work streams simultaneously.

Role Priorities:

  • Client Management: Manages the day-to-day client relationship and oversees client communications as it relates to their assigned projects or programs
  • Financial Management: Track all revenue and gross profit associated with your accounts, approx. $1 - $3M in gross revenue per year
  • Account Leadership: Demonstrates leadership abilities by managing and mentoring a junior Accounts team with up to two (2) direct reports (AM/AC)
  • Cross-Department Communication: Liaison between Production, Creative Services, Strategy departments, and the Client to ensure all contracted deliverables are executed and deadlines met
  • Onboarding & Training: Demonstrates understanding and expertise of agency and client functions by taking ownership of new team member onboarding and training process
  • Process & Project Management: Regularly identifies areas and proposes solutions for streamlining efficiencies in regards to process between project teams, departments, etc. 
  • Resourcing & Recruiting: Starts to take an active role in interviewing candidates for open positions, and begins to work with Directors to identify and develop talent on behalf of the agency
  • Finance & Invoicing: Oversees all client invoicing and invoice tracking for assigned projects or programs/retainers

Job Responsibilities:

Client Services

  • Responsible for managing and developing relationships with 1-2 Clients (retainer or project based)
  • Demonstrates understanding of the client's brand and processes by proactively educating and training team members, further improving client experience
  • Act as the point of contact for clients, overseeing client communication and expectations during the campaign development and execution process
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively offer solutions and experiential opportunities for the brand
  • Provide Client with weekly updates on project development and management, maintaining internal and external project status reports
  • Acts as onsite account representative at events, set up post- mortems internally and externally
  • Develop and deliver creative solutions that meet client objectives using a wide arsenal of experiential tactics including live events, social media, emerging technology, and strategic partnerships

Finance & Invoicing

  • Responsible for tracking invoicing, executing SOWs under $500K, and ensuring POs are received in a timely manner, ideally within a week post-kick-off
  • Oversees completion of the master billing tracker and finance/invoicing tasks, ensures supervisor sign off on all client invoices prior to submission
  • Works with Production and Clients to submit budget estimates for POs, and submit deposit and final invoices in a timely manner
  • Works with Production to submit budget reconciles and secure client approval post-event

Leadership

  • Implementing, and managing all necessary internal and external processes to ensure proper communication flow and manage expectations
  • Oversees projects being led by direct reports, in addition to their own, and demonstrates the ability to coach/mentor team members through roadblocks
  • Lead a full cross-departmental project team across multiple projects
  • Demonstrates ability to problem solve by consistently delivering creative solutions to roadblocks when escalating to supervisor

Project Management

  • Lead day-to-day project management for projects and/or campaigns
  • Demonstrates the ability to take ownership of workstreams, projects, or retainers in their entirety with light to moderate supervisor oversight with budgets of $250K-$1M
  • Host and schedule regular internal and external meetings as necessary
  • Maintain internal and external project status reports
  • Responsible for overall deck management, ensuring all copy is completed and reminding the project team on deliverables for each proposal
  • Manage retainer and/or project budgets in partnership with Production Lead - Oversee AM/AC and ensure all agendas/recaps are distributed internally and externally prior to each meeting and after each meeting
  • Hold internal project teams accountable to project deadlines
  • Work with Production and Creative Services departments to develop post-event recaps for Clients
  • Responsible for ensuring timesheets are completed in a timely manner for all project workstreams whether leading or supervising
  • Responsible for ensuring resource reports are populated and reviewed with Accounts supervisors on a regular, consistent basis throughout the duration of the project or campaign

Account Team Management 

  • Manage and delegate tasks to junior account team members
  • Supports supervisor (or takes ownership of) in implementation and training for any changes to process and project management

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in account leadership, campaign/event management, marketing, advertising, digital PR, and experiential
  • Familiarity with developing integrated campaigns that include paid, earned, social, and owned media for brands
  • Proven track record of client leadership and account growth
  • Experience in an agency environment; must be process-oriented and highly organized
  • Experience with management and oversight of complex client budgets
  • Ability to write effectively, persuasively, and professionally
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence in verbal and written communication with excellent presentation skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to work extended hours and on weekends when necessary
  • Proven ability to weave brands into popular culture

Requirements: 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time.

Location: We are a hybrid company with hub locations in Los Angeles and New York. The ideal candidate is located in any of our hub locations.

Salary Estimation: [$70,500.00 - $85,000.00 per year]

This is an exempt full-time position. NVE intends to provide a competitive total compensation package which includes a variety of incentives, benefits, growth and developmental opportunities. There are many factors to the presented salary range, including but not limited to - location, departmental budgets, certifications, and overall job-related qualifications.
