Senior Data Engineer
We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you’ll lead the end-to-end development of new integrations into our platform — powering the insights that help secure our customers’ most critical SaaS environments.
About the Role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll:
- Build robust, scalable connectors to SaaS platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Workday, Salesforce) to extract data on users, roles, permissions, and configuration
- Design and maintain data pipelines that normalize and transform raw SaaS data into our unified security posture model
- Collaborate with platform and security engineers to shape how we build, deploy, and scale integrations across hundreds of enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Debug and improve production data pipelines, resolving discrepancies and improving performance, accuracy, and resilience
What’s in It for You
- Have immediate impact — your work directly improves how some of the world’s top companies secure their SaaS estates
- Silicon Valley meets Manchester — experience the pace and excitement of the Valley whilst remaining UK based.
- Advance your SaaS security expertise — gain hands-on experience with identity models, access permissions, and posture assessment across platforms like Microsoft 365, Okta, and Salesforce
Required Skills & Experience
- Highly experienced in using Python and SQL for data retrieval, transformation, and analysis
- Demonstrated experience extracting and normalizing data from different types of APIs, including complex/non-standard authentication flows
- Strong debugging skills for production data pipelines, including data discrepancies, edge cases, and performance issues
- Comfortable working with and transforming nested, semi-structured formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV into analysis-ready outputs
- Minimum 4 years in a data engineering or data-focused software engineering role
Desirable Experience
- Hands-on experience with APIs from major SaaS platforms (e.g., Office 365, Salesforce, Workday, Oracle, SAP)
- Familiarity with our core data stack: DuckDB, Dagster, Postgres, Kafka, DBT, EKS, and Databricks
- Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and APIs from providers like Okta, Entra ID, Ping
- Exposure to AI-enhanced low-code tools like Microsoft Copilot or Salesforce Agentforce
