Secure the Future of SaaS

Founded in 2017, Obsidian Security was created to close a critical gap: securing the SaaS applications where modern business happens, including platforms like Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and hundreds more.

Backed by top investors including Greylock, Norwest Venture Partners, and IVP, we’ve built a complete SaaS security platform that reduces risk, detects and responds to threats, and prevents breaches at the source. Our team includes leaders who helped define the categories of endpoint and identity security at CrowdStrike, Okta, Cylance, and Carbon Black.

Now, we’re transforming how SaaS is secured in the era of agentic AI. Today, Obsidian is trusted by global enterprises such as Snowflake, T-Mobile, and Pure Storage. We protect more than 200 organizations across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, including many of the world’s largest Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies.

With strong global momentum, a growing partner ecosystem that includes SentinelOne, Databricks, and leading DFIR firms like Kroll, Obsidian is scaling quickly toward long-term growth. Join us as we define the future of SaaS security.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Principal Product Marketing Manager to define how Obsidian frames compliance for modern SaaS environments, from due diligence through due care.

This role owns the market narrative for SaaS compliance as a continuous, operational capability rather than a point-in-time audit exercise. You will show how Obsidian connects security posture to business assurance, helping organizations prepare for audits, enforce controls continuously, and prove trust over time.

You will build a unified story that resonates across key personas involved in SaaS risk and compliance decisions:

  • TPRM and GRC leaders who need continuous evidence, defensible risk decisions, and reduced audit fatigue
  • Application and Cloud Security teams responsible for implementing controls, monitoring drift, and remediating findings without manual overhead
  • CISOs and security executives accountable for governance, regulatory confidence, and board-level assurance

This is a strategic, market-shaping role. You will translate complex platform capabilities into clear, outcome-driven narratives that elevate how the market understands SaaS compliance.

What You’ll Do

  • Own positioning, messaging, and value propositions for SaaS compliance use cases across the Obsidian platform
  • Define and evangelize Obsidian’s point of view on inevitability of SaaS compliance and structural shifts across cybersecurity organizations
  • Build persona-specific narratives for TPRM, GRC, Application Security, Cloud Security, and CISO audiences, aligning them under a single cohesive story
  • Partner with Product to influence roadmap framing and ensure compliance capabilities are expressed in customer use cases and business outcomes
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for compliance-related launches, solutions, and campaigns
  • Develop high-impact content including solution briefs, executive narratives, sales enablement, and launch materials
  • Collaborate with demand gen, comms, and field teams to scale messaging across campaigns, events, partners, and sales motions
  • Gather customer, analyst, and competitive insights to sharpen positioning and identify new compliance-driven growth opportunities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in customer, analyst, and media conversations around SaaS compliance and risk
  • Measure and refine GTM effectiveness in partnership with growth and analytics teams

About You

  • Experienced and strategic. You bring 7+ years in product marketing or product management within cybersecurity, SaaS platforms, risk, or compliance-related domains. You have led messaging and GTM efforts for complex products and understand how to influence both market perception and revenue outcomes.
  • Deeply fluent in SaaS compliance and risk. You understand how compliance frameworks map to real SaaS environments, including identity sprawl, privilege, misconfiguration, third-party access, and continuous control monitoring.
  • Clear, outcome-driven storyteller. You translate technical and procedural complexity into concise narratives that resonate with practitioners and executives without relying on jargon.
  • Strong product marketer with sharp messaging instincts: You know how to build positioning and messaging that is clear, differentiated, and durable. You can distill complex products into simple, repeatable messages that hold up across executives, sellers, and the field.
  • Persona-aware and collaborative. You know how TPRM, GRC, security teams, and CISOs think and buy, and you work effectively across Product, Sales, and Marketing to deliver aligned execution.
  • Self-directed and fast-moving. You stay ahead of regulatory and market shifts and thrive in fast-moving environments where direction is evolving and impact matters.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
