Founded in 1982 and still privately owned, we've become one of the nation's fastest-growing construction management consultancies. Serving markets across federal, education, hospitality, healthcare, technology, and commercial sectors, we offer comprehensive services including cost management, project management, scheduling, and project controls. Most importantly, our teams are passionate about supporting each other and making a difference in the communities we serve.

We’re excited to welcome an Associate Director of Cost Management to our growing team. We’re seeking candidates based in the San Francisco / Northern California / Bay Area Vicinity with extensive HCAI healthcare project experience to join our cost management and estimating practice. This role has the potential to be a remote / hybrid position that could require travel to multiple project sites located throughout NorCal. Currently, we have projects stretching from San Jose to Sacramento that will require in person periodic visits for meetings and project team collaboration. As part of a collaborative team of cost management, project management, and scheduling professionals, you'll provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction while helping clients successfully deliver critical healthcare capital projects.

If this opportunity aligns with your experience and interests, we encourage you to apply. A recruiter and subject-matter expert will review your application and respond within 5 business days.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary cost management lead and day-to-day client liaison for a major HCAI healthcare program.

  • Lead staff development through mentoring, coaching, training, and supervision of cost management and estimating personnel.
  • Oversee resource planning, workload forecasting, recruiting, onboarding, and team development activities.
  • Coordinate with project management, project controls, scheduling, and executive leadership to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Support fee proposals, contract administration, business development initiatives, and client relationship management activities.
  • Promote repeat business through exceptional client service and successful project delivery.
  • Participate in industry organizations, conferences, and networking events to strengthen market presence and develop new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of construction experience in cost management, estimating, quantity surveying, or preconstruction.
