ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties and responsibilities may be assigned:
Admissions
Work with the Director of Student Recruitment and Enrollment to recruit students and families for the current and following academic year through community outreach and conducting various admissions events. Register students and collect required documents in order to ensure students’ records are in compliance with New York State regulations.
- Train school ambassadors to present at open houses and represent the school at fairs
- Collaborate with external vendors to strategize and launch digital, traditional media, and mailing campaigns throughout the enrollment cycle
- Maintain recruitment-related school website and social media content
- Pro-actively make connections with city-wide feeder schools and community organizations and participate in all aspects of student recruitment including direct outreach and external school visits.
- Plan and attend all student recruitment events, such as fairs, family events, open houses, tours, and presentations, including participation in the evenings and on weekends when necessary
- Coordinate registration and conduct tours, orientations and open houses for prospective parents and students as well as build and establish more admissions events in order to recruit more students
- Generate Reports pertaining to admissions and enrollment as requested
- Assists with the management of the annual lottery and student enrollment process in compliance with state charter school laws
- Call parents to offer spots and have the ability to document every contact attempted day or night
- Assist parents with the enrollment process
- Have knowledge of programs and services offered at OCS as well as knowledge of the Chancellor’s regulations for incoming students
- Assist with reports and tasks requested from supervisor
- Maintain data on incoming student applications including lottery and waitlist number, students that did not accept offer as well as maintenance of waitlist applications, including distribution, date stamping, filing, spreadsheet, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of 2 years experience in student recruitment and enrollment management
- Proven track record of successfully leading recruitment strategies and achieving targets
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing recruitment teams
- Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive recruitment, enrollment, and retention strategies aligned with organization's goals
- Experience in analyzing and leveraging data for strategic decision making
- In depth knowledge of admissions processes and best practices
- Experience in designing and executing effective student recruitment campaigns including social media
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of Infinite Campus, ATS, and SchoolMint preferred but not required
- Experience with Microsoft Office (required) additional experience with Google Suite preferred

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
