Role
We are seeking an Editorial Operations Associate to support news monitoring coverage across our Americas products. As we continue expanding our team in Pakistan, including the opening of a new office in the coming months, this role offers significant opportunities for growth. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, New York-headquartered global organization, working alongside experienced financial journalists, analysts, and lawyers.
Responsibilities
- Monitor domestic press and data feeds for key developments, ensuring Octus is the first to uncover critical and market-moving information for our subscribers.
- Provide crossover support across regions, including the Americas, Asia, and Europe, with a primary focus on the Americas.
- Alert coverage teams to major developments related to priority companies and sectors.
- Collaborate with Staff Writers, Editorial Operations, and other teams to enhance content workflows and tracking.
- Assist in testing and refining internal tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Support a team of experienced journalists, financial analysts, and lawyers in shaping high-quality content.
- Contribute to data editorialization and select content production as needed.
Requirements
- Strong news judgment and the ability to analyze complex financial and legal topics, including leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, bankruptcy/restructuring, and regulatory actions.
- Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written English and communication skills.
- Adaptable and collaborative team player.
- Familiarity with financial markets, with a preference for experience in leveraged loans, high-yield markets, and bankruptcy/restructuring.
- Experience with AI tools, Monday.com, or other project management software is a plus.
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift between 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM PKT to provide cross-region support.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located.
