Our team consists of top finance, infrastructure, and payment professionals across our global offices. We work closely with C-suite, local, and functional leaders across legal, risk, finance, treasury, product, engineering, and business teams to unlock new markets and accelerate growth in our most strategic markets.

About the Opportunity:

The Sr. Director Banking Partnerships position is a relationship management role responsible for identifying and building deep business relationships with key decision makers, primarily focused on US banks and payment providers. Managing partnerships with leading financial institutions in highly regulated markets requires an exceptionally nuanced approach, in-depth understanding of the political environment and potential partners' respective risk appetite, as well as deep personal ties with their internal influencers and decision makers. Your mission will be to expand the team's industry-leading, foundational work in key jurisdictions by
  • scouting, selecting, and engaging with tier 1 banks and payment providers
  • building and nurturing deep relationships between the partners and OK Group's key decision-makers
  • ensuring we become and stay the partners' top priority prospect and client
  • continuously refining commercial relationships to turn partners into revenue drivers in the long run
Due to the extensive lead times until new fiat rails can be successfully operationalized, as well as the heightened risk-sensitivity of banks and payment providers, the role requires a forward-looking approach that continuously plans for redundancy and unexpected changes in direction. Finally, this will be a high visibility role towards leadership as the entry and scaling of entire markets in strategic jurisdictions rely on the candidate's ability to deliver.

What We Look For In You:

  • 5+ years of business development & relationship management experience with US banks (payment providers are a bonuts)
  • Exceptional networker with high-touch sales & relationship management ability.
  • Brings a strong executive network within tier 1 and 2 banks, especially with decision makers in digital asset banking

  • Extensive experience in institutional facing roles involving electronic trading (FX or digital) and banking (private, corporate, operational, custodial)
  • Solid understanding of on- and off-shore fiat on- and offramp and payment rails in the US (ACH, Wire, SWIFT), the involvement of correspondent banks, as well as know-how of banks, custodians and payment vendors that were or are offering banking services to digital asset market participants
  • Ability to act as a bridge between business, strategy, and product interests - from understanding and knowing the payment product requirements and selecting the right respective partners, to supporting and ensuring the timely onboarding and operationalisation based on the general go-to-market strategy & roadmap.
  • Experience in strategic procurement and partnership management with established traditional financial institutions + ideally a successful track record of building fiat rails for high risk businesses in regulated markets
  • Track record of multiple internal promotions with previous employer due to strong performance
  • Extensive experience in cross-functional work with leadership in product, compliance, risk, finance, treasury, legal, procurement, vendor & contract management
  • Leadership experience is a plus
  • Need to be able to travel frequently and nurture business relationships in person
  • Must be able to put oneself in any counterparty's shoes, discern their key goals and drivers, and leverage one's network & product knowledge to formulate winning narratives.
  • Strong communication skills. Know how to build consensus and partnership, particularly with risk averse counterparties.
  • Hunter mentality with a surgical approach, must be self-driven and proactively escalate roadblocks and involvement of leadership, when necessary.
  • Strategic thinker with an ability of quick, tactical decision making to achieve immediate results in high pressure situations.
  • Master the concept & trade of social value
  • Passionate & knowledgeable about the crypto & digital asset space

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
