OLIVER believes that agencies work better inside a brand’s organization – delivering more effective work at the speed and flexibility required to drive modern businesses forward. Using our unique methodology, and supported by bespoke technology, we design, build, and operate specialist, dedicated agencies onsite with our clients. We believe that proximity enables better collaboration, leading to better marketing solutions.
We’re looking for an Art Director to join our creative team and help bring bold ideas to life across one of our Financial Clients and platforms. This role is ideal for a visually driven creative with strong design fundamentals, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for advertising. You’ll work closely with art directors, copywriters, and creative leadership to develop and execute compelling, on-brand creative work.
What you will be doing:
- Be an integral part of a dedicated, close-knit team focused on a leading financial client, where we collaborate closely, support one another, and bring a lot of energy and fun to the work we do every day
- Develop and execute creative concepts for integrated advertising campaigns
- Design visual assets across digital, social, print, video and experiential platforms
- Collaborate with copywriters and other creatives to bring ideas to life
- Apply brand guidelines while contributing fresh visual ideas
- Prepare files for production and ensure high-quality execution
- Incorporate feedback from creative leadership and clients efficiently
What you need to be great in this role:
- 4-5 years of experience in an advertising agency, creative studio, or related environment
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design skills, layout, typography, and conceptual thinking
- Ability to design for both digital-first platforms and traditional advertising formats
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); motion or Figma experience is a plus.
- AI experience and curiosity - Familiarity with AI-driven tools, generative platforms, or willingness to experiment with emerging technologies to enhance creative output
- Future-forward mindset - Open to exploring innovative approaches, automation, and AI-assisted workflows to push creative boundaries
- Solid understanding of visual design principles and current creative trends in all social platforms
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Act as a brand steward for our client, upholding brand integrity across all deliverables by rigorously following brand guidelines, visual standards, and compliance requirements to ensure every asset is consistently and accurately on-brand
- At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from CAD $93,500.00 to CAD $104,500.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
