Role:  Account Director

Location:  Chicago, Illinois

About the role:

As Account Director, you are the primary point of contact between BeStudio and the Client's senior marketing stakeholders. You hold the client relationship, lead the account team, and own the quality and commercial performance of everything the studio delivers.

You'll lead cross-functional teams spanning account management, creative, strategy, copywriting, production, and community management — moving fluidly between strategic counsel and hands-on delivery oversight. You set the standard for client service and creative ambition, build the conditions for your team to do their best work, and represent the studio at the most senior levels of the client organization.

This role calls for someone with the strategic clarity to plan at scale and the operational precision to execute it — without losing sight of the creative work that drives results.

What you will be doing:

  • Serve as the senior client contact, building trusted relationships with senior marketing stakeholders and proactively strengthening the partnership at every level
  • Lead cross-functional teams across strategy, creative concepts, copywriting, production, and community management — aligning resources, timelines, and deliverables to client objectives
  • Develop and present strategic account plans, scope-of-work proposals, and creative recommendations that drive measurable marketing outcomes
  • Oversee multi-channel campaign execution from concept to delivery — across social (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms), digital, print, CRM, web, and in-store
  • Stay current with platform trends, algorithm changes, and social media best practices to ensure content remains relevant, optimized, and effective
  • Review and refine creative briefs; provide strategic guidance throughout the development process; ensure final assets meet brand, channel, and regulatory requirements
  • Translate client feedback into clear, actionable direction for internal teams — making recommendations and decisions that keep work moving forward
  • Manage account-level production budgets: cost estimation, supplier negotiation, purchase orders, reconciliation, and spend reporting to OLIVER and client stakeholders
  • Present budget performance to senior stakeholders and remain accountable for the financial health of the studio
  • Partner with the Business Director to develop new opportunities within the account and support broader agency growth
  • Manage, coach, and develop the account team — investing in individual growth and holding the team to a high standard of delivery and client service
  • Coordinate across compliance, creative, and production to maintain quality, consistency, and operational efficiency at pace
  • Stay informed on CPG industry trends, emerging marketing technologies, and AI-driven solutions to strengthen client counsel and studio capability

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Proven track record in senior account or client leadership within an advertising, creative, or integrated marketing agency environment
  • Experience managing senior client relationships, with the ability to build trust, navigate complexity, and grow accounts both creatively and commercially
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills — able to convey creative and strategic thinking clearly to senior stakeholders and secure alignment on direction
  • Deep knowledge of social media strategy and content production, with hands-on experience across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms
  • Strong understanding of multi-channel campaign production — from concept and creative development through to delivery across digital, print, CRM, web, and in-store
  • Working knowledge of digital design, photo, video, and 3D/CGI production processes
  • Experience reviewing, refining, and stress-testing creative briefs and campaign concepts
  • Experience leading and developing cross-functional creative teams, with a track record of strong team performance and individual growth
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, resource across projects, and make clear decisions under pressure
  • Skilled at coordinating between creative, strategy, production, and compliance teams in a high-volume environment
  • Experience managing account-level production budgets, forecasting, and reporting financial performance to senior stakeholders
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Workfront, Monday, or Wrike
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and macOS
  • Background in CPG, FMCG, or consumer brand marketing preferred
  • Experience with social-first content strategy and community management
  • Familiarity with in-house studio or embedded agency models

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
