THE ROLE: VMS (OLLY, Smarty Pants Vitamins) Tech Planning Project Manager/Business Analyst

Since October 2023, OLLY and Smarty have come together under a single business vertical called VMS (Vitamins, Minerals, and Supplements). The VMS Tech team supports both businesses by delivering critical capabilities. This role is responsible for implementing the VMS tech planning suite, which includes Trade Plan Management (TPM) and Kinaxis Rapid Response. The TPM rollout is a new initiative, while the Kinaxis implementation focuses on enhancing OLLY's existing Kinaxis tool and extending its functionality to Smarty. This ensures both businesses can operate with a unified tool and process for planning. Integration with D365 for both TPM and Kinaxis is also within the project scope. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure a series of successful go-lives and act as the key liaison between implementation partners—working directly with the vendor for TPM and Unilever for Kinaxis—and the business. This includes defining clear project outcomes and managing their successful execution. Additionally, the role involves strategic responsibilities, such as evaluating future integrations for acquisitions, developing the new Tech and Data team within VMS, and identifying opportunities to drive value through technology. The individual in this role will gain significant exposure to senior leadership, presenting project updates to the steering committee and the VMS Leadership Team. This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of a fast-growing business, contributing to key initiatives and playing a pivotal role in achieving business objectives.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead the TPM rollout to VMS inc D365 ERP integration
  • Lead the Kinaxis enhancements process for OLLY and integration to D365 (with the D365 project team)
  • Lead the Smarty Kinaxis implementation (copy of OLLY build)
  • Support CIO in developing VMS Tech and data team culture, purpose and objectives.
  • Clear on Tech and Data OKR and driving the drum beat to completion 

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent business process understanding across finance, SC operations and sales (trade promotion process).  
  • Ideally experience of Kinaxis Rapid Response or other supply/demand planning tools.
  • 7+ year’s experience leading business systems within a dynamic & rapidly growing organization, CPG/Manufacturing/Wholesale/Retail preferred. 
  • Ability to develop strong relationships. An outstanding communicator and influencer, capable of working effectively with counterparts, of all work levels, across the world.
  • Strategic, creative thinking and problem solving for partnering the VMS CIO through challenges of running tech for a $500M business.

LOCATION: San Francisco - Hybrid work schedule

HOURS: 40 hours/ week, 12-month temporary position

MANAGER: VMS Chief Information Officer

The pay range for this position is $60-75/hour dependent on experience.
