THE ROLE: VICE PRESIDENT SALES – WALMART + CLUB 

Reporting to our Head of U.S. Field Sales – Unilever Wellbeing Collective (WBC), the Vice President of Walmart and Club will serve as a key leader on our WBC team and act as a prominent “face of the WBC brands” to our customers. Strategy, leadership, and coaching are critical skills for this role. We’re looking for a leader of leaders—someone who can see beyond the horizon to identify opportunities and anticipate challenges. 

The WBC operating companies include SmartyPants, Onnit, Welly, and OLLY, with collaboration across Liquid I.V. and Nutrafol also being a key part of this role. This position will oversee a team of ten, in addition to broker leadership. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead Sales team across all sales efforts in Walmart & Club including but not limited to: Walmart, Sam’s Club, BJ’s, and Costco. 
  • Drive strategic planning and execution of annual joint business plans at all accounts including annual ASP collaboration with key stakeholders at Walmart + across our operating companies. 
  • Accountable for overall resource and budgetary management; Identify and ensure appropriate resources dedicated to enabling future growth. I.e.: broker support, data platforms, Category Management, Digital growth, and Northwest Arkansas community involvement 
  • Lead Directors and managers in collaboration with our customers to ensure true partnership spirit 
  • Develop and manage strategic planning of annual business at all accounts, providing critical customer input into development of company go-to-market strategies 
  • Ensure annual planning and execution across each Operating Company is profitable and on-strategy. 
  • Build strong external and internal relationships at all levels of management with our customers; specifically executive levels 
  • Ensure that pricing / financial guidelines for our channels are adhered to. 
  • Manage broker & 3rd party negotiations & relationships to ensure WBC goals are met. 
  • Preserve and protect WBC’s unique premium positioning to deliver overall growth for each brand and their respective categories. 
  • Lead annual cross functional planning with key decision makers while ensuring annual operating plan and OKR deliverables are met. 
  • Recruit, develop and inspire the team; nurture cultural leaders who will make life at WBC better for all of us! 

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED 

  • 15-20+ years of experience in CPG Sales and/or Retail Merchant/Buyer with a proven track record of success working with multiple top tier retailers 
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling new brands across multiple retailers 
  • Proven ability to build & lead a high-performing sales/broker team, plus building out capabilities as needed to support future growth (5+ years of people leadership experience) 
  • An inclusive leader with strong communication skills, a passion for team development and a high degree of comfort in giving and receiving constructive feedback 
  • Proven ability to work with all levels of leadership + functions across key customers to build best-in-class partnerships 
  • Proven ability to drive eCommerce sales & customer experience 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, tenacity, dependability, integrity, and innovative sensibility 
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and build capabilities for the entire company 
  • Personally, and professionally motivated to deliver results and get things done 
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking ability 
  • Solid negotiation skills in” getting to yes” with retail partners 
  • Energized and passionate about building a transformational company in today’s marketplace. 
  • Ability to change information into insights for actionable growth

 WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE INTERVIEW PROCESS 

  • Initial video screen with a member of our Talent team 
  • Round 1: Conversation with the Hiring Manager + 1-2 conversations with other team members
  • Round 2: 2-3 conversations with team or cross-functional partners 
  • Final Round: Homework*

THE DETAILS 

LOCATION: Northwest Arkansas (Bentonville, Rogers, Fayetteville) 

HOURS: Full time, exempt (salaried)

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. 

The pay range for this position is $170,800.00 - $256,200.00 dependent on experience and location.
