Job Description
As a Senior Surveyor, you will direct and manage staff on the technical aspects of projects and provide oversight to survey staff. You will lead quality assurance/quality control for the team and act as an advisor on complex projects. You will apply your advanced experience to independently make recommendations and decisions regarding technical survey work to ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data that is essential to the success of a project.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage survey staff on the technical aspects of projects, including coordination with all disciplines involved.
- Plan and oversee the quality review process of survey work and project deliverables.
- Lead the effort for assembling technical survey staff resources for the group.
- Provide a consultative resource to clients for project resolution.
- Demonstrate competency to oversee all survey tasks and further develop subject matter expertise.
- Promote efficiencies in producing quality work and ensure the accuracy of surveys.
- Direct other technical staff in the design approach to meet project requirements.
- Understand, identify, and avoid potential safety hazards for workers and the public in and around project sites.
- Supervise and review assignments of less experienced staff.
Qualifications

- Strong communication skills
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team
- Associate degree in surveying preferred
- A minimum of 10 years of surveying experience
- Must be registered as a land surveyor
- Ability to teach and mentor staff
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
