Job Description
Olsson provides construction management, administration, and observation services for both public and private projects to assure that work is performed in conformance with project documents. Our construction services include daily observation / inspection, project documentation, submittal review, design support, shop drawing review, payment application review, payroll review, and oversight for materials testing. We provide technically qualified personnel for our clients’ specific project requirements.
As a Senior Construction Manager, you will provide high-level technical leadership and oversight for complex construction projects, including roadways, utility infrastructure, and water/sewer distribution systems. You will be accountable for ensuring quality, constructability, and predictability across all phases of construction by applying advanced construction management expertise and independent judgment.
In this role, you will lead and perform comprehensive QA/QC and constructability reviews, interpret and resolve complex project specifications and plans across multiple disciplines, and independently make recommendations and decisions to address construction challenges. You will plan, coordinate, and manage overall construction progress, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contract documents, quality standards, and project objectives.
Serving as a technical advisor and subject matter expert, you will guide project teams on effective construction approaches, review projects of considerable scope and complexity, and proactively identify and mitigate risks. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to drive efficiencies and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Additionally, you will mentor and supervise less experienced construction management staff, review technical work products, and contribute to the development and refinement of construction management standards, guidelines, and best practices within the team. Your leadership and technical expertise will play a critical role in advancing organizational excellence and ensuring successful project delivery.
You will travel to various job sites at different stages of construction and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

You bring to the team:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in construction management, including oversight of complex infrastructure projects and increasing levels of technical and leadership responsibility.

Demonstrated experience providing technical direction, QA/QC oversight, and constructability review on projects of varying scope and complexity.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving history.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- OSHA 10 preferred.
