Job Description
We are seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented Assistant Surveyor who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a collaborative field team. This position supports licensed surveyors and survey party chiefs by assisting with a variety of field surveying activities, including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, land title surveys, and construction staking.
Surveying is a critical component of construction and civil engineering projects. Through accurate field data collection and precise measurements, our survey teams help ensure projects are built correctly, safely, and in compliance with applicable standards. The work performed by our technicians plays a key role in supporting infrastructure that contributes to safe, efficient, and sustainable communities.
In this role, you will travel to project sites at various stages of construction and work outdoors in a variety of terrain and weather conditions. This position is ideal for someone with foundational field experience who is looking to continue developing their technical skills within a professional surveying environment.

Qualifications

You bring to the team:
- 1+ year of field survey experience, preferably in an instrument or survey technician role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to contribute in a fast‑paced, field‑oriented environment.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and maintain a strong focus on safety.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle (MVR) record.
- Ability to travel as needed (travel requirements will vary by project).

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required for field equipment and materials.
