Data Scientist - Customer Data
About the Role:
Role Summary
This role exists to help clients extract maximum value from their data by building scalable, efficient, and future-proof data science solutions. As a Data Scientist at Annalect, you will be at the forefront of driving digital transformation through advanced analytics, robust data pipelines, and expert-level problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build robust data orchestration pipelines to solve complex data challenges
- Develop scalable solutions capable of handling large datasets across diverse business use cases
- Ensure solutions are efficient, well-documented, modular, and easily adaptable
- Support clients in blueprinting, scoping, and prioritising technical requirements as part of digital transformation projects
- Guide customers in CDP implementation best practices to ensure long-term self-sufficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to resolve technical challenges
- Participate in on-site visits and in-person client meetings to build trust and ensure solution alignment
Additionally, individual objectives are agreed and reviewed on a quarterly basis (as a minimum frequency).
Ideal Candidate
Education & Experience
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline
- Proven background in data and technology, with experience designing and deploying scalable data-driven solutions
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with SQL, including building and deploying data solutions (e.g. data warehouses, BI systems, ETL pipelines)
- At least 2 years of coding experience using a scripting language such as Python
Skills
- Proficient in working with large datasets and building robust, production-ready data pipelines
- Experienced with version control and team collaboration tools like GitHub or GitLab
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on business outcomes
- Comfortable working directly with clients to address issues and communicate complex technical concepts in simple terms
- Experience working on digital transformation projects or with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) is a plus

We build and maintain the Omni platform which gives agency and client teams access to these capabilities as well as the ability to integrate and combine their own data and technology with Omni. Our team of Annalectuals is growing rapidly and are based in over 80 countries around the globe, supported by global and regional team hubs in NY, London, Singapore, Gurgaon, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.
The EMEA team is responsible for global and regional client relationships led from London, as well as the development of new data-driven marketing capabilities. They form part of our global team and collaborate closely with local market Annalect teams across EMEA as well as regional Omnicom agency partners.
Flexible Working

We have a hybrid working model (three days in the office, two working remotely), to ensure that we meet the needs of both our people and our business, balancing the benefits of in-person connections with the flexibility of remote working. Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that’s in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
