Account Director
About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced and strategically minded Account Director with a deep-rooted passion for motorsport and proven experience leading global partnerships within high-intensity environments. This role sits within our Rights Consultancy division, embedded in one of our key client portfolios, and partnering directly with Formula 1, one of the world’s most iconic rights holders.
You’ll take the helm in shaping and steering the strategic direction for a multi brand F1 partnership, driving best-in-class activation, rights management and stakeholder engagement, translating commercial ambition into culturally resonant, high-performance work.
This is an opportunity for a confident operator who thrives leading client relationships. This role will be supported by junior team members and will be reporting to a Senior Account Director. Experience in Formula 1 is essential.
Main day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and be a strategic advisor, having confidence to check and challenge where necessary
- Work closely with F1 to drive forwards clients workstreams and develop solutions
- Take accountability for your team’s successful management and execution of all client deliverables, ensure the team is maintaining the smooth running of the account
- Actively oversee & optimise the delivery of all digital assets, helping clients to develop & implement 1st party data and social media strategies
- Lead in the development of process improvements and best practices for asset and potentially talent management
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external agency partners to ensure smooth operations
- Be forward thinking and abreast of the F1 landscape and emerging industry trends
- Supporting the Events team on-site, and therefore global travel and some weekend work may be required
- Growing incremental revenue from existing clients and supporting on new business
- Lead and contribute to agency-wide initiatives, inputting into broader partnership work where relevant
Desired Skills & Experiences
- Extensive experience in account management and sport sponsorship, must have F1 expertise
- Strong understanding of both the sponsorship and sport landscape, including how partnerships and brand experiences work within the broader marketing mix
- Ability to demonstrate relationships with senior clients and stakeholders
- Experience of developing and leading on strategic response for clients including working closely with other agency partners
- Excellent project management and multitasking skills, with the ability work under pressure
- Be able to anticipate team and clients’ needs to find ways to add value and be solutions orientated
- Presentation skills (verbal and written), internally and to clients / external parties
- Exceptional client servicing and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience of leading a team, managing people and facilitating career growth in others
- Experience of coordinating global campaigns at a local level
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment, including working across various time zones and international travel
You need to have the ability & willingness to work flexibly, usually in the London office, with occasional international travel, on-site at events and some weekend work.
This is a full-time role & you must be eligible to work in the UK.

Flexible Working
