Job Overview
This role will enable a culture of spending discipline for the indirect spend via the employment of efficient, effective and best in class strategic sourcing, contract management, negotiation and supplier management practices and leveraging identified company implemented technology.
Assigned categories will have a spend up to $8M and have characteristics of a ‘leveraged’ spend bucket.
This position reports to the Sourcing Site Leader, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas site.
Responsibilities
As the Indirect Category Manager, you will:
- Work together with Indirect Global Category Manager to define strategies.
- Support the signing of templated documents such as NDA, Term Letters, Amendments, Sourcing Agreements as volume entails.
- Implement Strategies including approaches to supplier search and selection, on-going assessment and RFI/RFP/RFQ activity.
- Train internal stakeholders in procurement processes, advice on contract requirements, corporate policies and on procurement procedures.
- Support day-to-day procurement functions such as new vendor onboarding, renewing contracts, reviewing and approving purchases, requisitions, processing contingent worker forms etc.
- Resolve problems/tactical procurement issues such as queries related to Invoices, POs, eForms etc. within the relevant portfolio of projects.
- Schedule QBR meetings for assigned commodities.
- Develop and execute 2ndsource projects to support cost out and fulfillment for the commodities of Packaging and Labels.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of procurement / supply chain / sourcing experience.
- Advanced English level: Conversational.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced Excel knowledge.
Desired Characteristics:
- Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
- Experience of working in a multinational global environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with SAP or any ERP system. eSourcing and Contract Management
software desired. - Excellent time management skills with the ability to adapt, prioritize and execute to
achieve desired results. - Knowledge of principles, practices and trends in purchasing, procurement, and contract
negotiations. - Experience in Indirect Sourcing Category.
