Job Overview:
The Demand Planning Intern will support the team with activities, including but not limited to, analyze shipment data, market trends, and customer forecasts to improve forecast accuracy and inventory management.
The internship is estimated to begin towards the middle to end of May 2026 through mid-August 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and adjusting baseline forecast by SKU/customer/product family (weekly/monthly).
- Collect, clean, and analyze historical sales and shipment data to identify outliers and propose methods for mass application.
- Analyze massive datasets to find the correlation among multiple factors and propose creative product/product line re-grouping to improve forecast accuracy.
- Support new item and phase-in/phase-out forecasting using proxy/analog methods.
- Monitor inventory levels to help minimize excess stock while ensuring product availability.
- Produce inventory risk insights (excess/shortage watchlists) and recommend mitigation actions.
- Support master data audits and reconciliation (hierarchies, UoM, customer-material mapping, lifecycle status).
- Create visualization dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Update periodical data snapshot in the SharePoint.

Required/Desired Education and Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- GPA 3.0 plus. Data analytics and/or statistics coursework will be a plus.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the US.
- Strong Proficiency with MS Excel (pivot tables, power queries, formulas). Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is often preferred.
- Ability to analyze large data sets, identify patterns, and draw actionable conclusions.
- Comfortable with iterative, hypothesis-driven analysis.
- Action-oriented and resilient.
