Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled AME Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining production equipment and machinery to ensure efficient and reliable operation. They will work closely with project managers, other engineers, and technicians to ensure that equipment is designed and implemented to meet project requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of equipment engineering principles and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement efficient processes for given cell product design.
  • Develop production equipment and machinery.
  • Develops comprehensive technical specifications, FMEA’s, and validation plans.
  • Work with team to ensure that equipment is integrated effectively into overall project plans
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and maintenance manuals
  • Provide technical support to production teams, including troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and project meetings
  • Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of equipment engineering.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and/or Experiences

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in equipment engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of equipment engineering principles and the ability to use CAD software to design and simulate equipment.
  • Preferred experience in battery cell manufacturing, ideally lithium-ion batteries.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as high-speed/high-precision assembly, ultrasonic and laser welding, vacuum technology, vision technology and X-ray technology, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills such as statistical analysis and DOEs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time 40 hours and generally scheduled Monday through Friday 8am-5pm EST
  • Work schedule to be established with supervisor to ensure Company’s client and business needs are met.
  • Flexible work schedule and environment, see company policy if applicable.
