The Challenge
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Generalist Consultants, the Salesforce Generalist Consultant will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless and efficient execution of our end-to-end processes within the Salesforce ecosystem. The ideal candidate possesses hands-on SFDC configuration skills, with a particular emphasis on troubleshooting, solution design, and flows. This role will be focused on production support but will also be involved with project execution, enhancements, reducing technical debt, and occasional project management. They must possess a service-oriented demeanor and a passion for working with Salesforce technology. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be crucial to this role.
Your Mission
General Support:
-
Monitor Jira queues to troubleshoot incoming bugs and tasks providing timely responses and resolutions
-
Include resolution details in production support bugs/tasks
-
Create follow up tasks for issues discovered during production support
-
Document trends in system issues
Configuration:
-
Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, validation rules, workflow rules, and flows to support efficient order management.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Salesforce Solution Architects to understand solution designs and help implement them
-
Ensure accurate order data capture, validation, and processing, adhering to established business rules and standards
Process Automation:
-
Implement and QA automation work, primarily done in Flow
-
Comfortable migrating workflow rules and process builders to Flow
-
Not required, but bonus if you are familiar with CPQ Automaton such as price rules, product rules, discount schedules, and contract generation.

The person in this role will be responsible for doing QA on their own work; support with UAT will be provided in some cases but not all
Data Integrity and Security:
-
Implement and maintain data quality best practices to ensure accurate and reliable Salesforce data.

Enforce data security measures, including user access controls, data sharing rules, and field-level security.

Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported issues, collaborating with other technical teams when necessary
Continuous Improvement:
-
Stay up to date with Salesforce updates, new features, and best practices, and proactively recommend enhancements to the Lead-to-Bill process.

Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Additional Responsibilities

Advanced troubleshooting for end users

Assist senior manager with the most urgent requests that we receive

Providing advanced support for Salesforce requests and escalated administrative tasks

Overseeing Quality Assurance (QA) and implement changes requested from User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for large deployments using the Salesforce Testing Framework.

Communicating with Solution Architects & stakeholders and maintain good working relationships with them.

Ability to QA configuration in a developer sandbox, promote it to a full copy sandbox for UAT, then release to Production (we use Gearset for this, so familiarity with Gearset or willingness to learn how to use it is needed)

Provide on-call support as needed for month end closing periods
Your Experience Includes

1-3 years of work experience in an operations or salesforce admin role
-
Bachelor's degree
-
Familiarity with Salesforce Flows
-
Familiarity with Roles, Profiles, Permission Sets, Org-Wide Sharing, FLS
-
Proficiency in writing Salesforce Validation Rules & Formulas

Experience with business analysis and analyzing use cases for the business so that configuration may be built in salesforce to achieve business goals

You know when to use a Before Save, After Save, Before Delete or Scheduled Flow

Complex Formula writing - able to write formulas for formula fields, validation rules, entry criteria, etc. that follow best practices and utilize the fewest characters to achieve the goal

Experience working at a startup

For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.
Salary Range
$39.01 - $58.52 USD
