The Challenge
We are seeking a Senior Relationship Manager to join our DataGuidance team and lead strategic partnerships with top-tier law firms across the Americas. This partner-facing role is pivotal in expanding our global content network by cultivating relationships with data privacy experts and legal thought leaders. You will evangelize the DataGuidance platform, drive content acquisition, and ensure our offerings remain at the forefront of regulatory intelligence.
Your Mission
As a Senior Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with premier law firms specializing in data protection and privacy law. You will lead content acquisition efforts, curate high-value legal insights, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure our platform delivers cutting-edge regulatory intelligence. This role blends relationship development, strategic planning, and legal content curation to drive growth and engagement across our global network.
Relationship Development & Management
- Identify and engage top-tier law firms recognized for expertise in data protection and privacy law.
- Build and maintain a robust network of legal professionals and at the C-Suite level including partners, associates, and BD contacts.
- Cultivate long-term strategic partnerships that drive mutual value and exclusive content collaboration.
- Represent DataGuidance at legal conferences, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Content Acquisition & Curation
- Source high-quality legal content including articles, whitepapers, case studies, and regulatory updates.
- Evaluate content for relevance, quality, and strategic value to our audience.
- Collaborate with law firm partners to develop exclusive content opportunities.
- Manage acquisition timelines and ensure a consistent pipeline of fresh material.
- Ensure proper licensing and attribution of all acquired content.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute relationship management strategies aligned with business goals.
- Create annual content acquisition plans with measurable KPIs.
- Monitor legal trends and identify new partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, editorial) to optimize content utilization.
- Report on relationship status, content performance, and partnership ROI.
You Are
A strategic relationship builder with a deep understanding of the legal landscape. You thrive in dynamic environments, excel at networking, and bring a passion for legal content and privacy law. You are a strong communicator, a thoughtful planner, and a trusted partner to law firms.
Your Experience includes
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Communications, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in business development, relationship management, or legal industry roles.
- Familiarity with legal content formats and publishing standards.
- Experience with CMS platforms and digital publishing tools.
Extra Awesome
- Law degree (JD, LLB) or privacy certifications (CIPP/E, CIPM).
- Experience in legal content acquisition or publishing.
- Established network within the global legal community.
- Experience with international business development.
- Proven experience working with law firms or legal service providers.
- Strong understanding of data protection and privacy law (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Fluency in additional languages relevant to key markets.
For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.
Salary Range
$88,875 - $133,312.50 USD
