We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Solutions Engineering team. This role bridges the gap between our core product, integrations, and implementation teams, ensuring customers can go to market faster and more efficiently. As a Senior Engineer, you will bring technical expertise and systems design thinking to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that meet our clients’ needs. This role is a mix of technical leadership, problem-solving, and client collaboration, offering significant opportunities to make an impact.  

What You’ll Be Doing  

• Engage with enterprise wealth management customers to understand their business processes, pain points, and technology needs during implementation.
• Scope, design, and develop configurations, workflows, and integrations aligned with OneVest’s platform capabilities and client requirements.
• Reuse and refine architectural patterns to efficiently deliver custom solutions and integrations.
• Partner with strategic customers to document requirements for configuration, integration, and customization.
• Guide cross-functional teams on technical direction and solution design while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Foster a collaborative environment by mentoring engineers, sharing best practices, and contributing to team growth.
• Deliver scalable, reusable, and secure solutions aligned with operational and technical best practices.
• Share client insights to improve product and implementation strategies.

Tech Stack  

We use TypeScript across our platform, with React (web) and React Native (mobile) on the front end, and Node.js and MongoDB on the back end. The platform follows a microservices architecture and is hosted on AWS.  

Required Qualifications  

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a client-facing role.
• Expertise in modern tech stacks, particularly TypeScript, Node.js, and MongoDB.
• Strong knowledge of SaaS platforms, system integrations, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience presenting and influencing at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices.
• Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a commitment to delivering quality work.

Nice to Have  

• Familiarity with financial services, wealth management, or related industries.
• Experience with work orchestration or automation platforms.
• Background in startups, scale-ups, or consultancy services.
