Meet your Future Neighbors
As a Finance & Strategy with Nextdoor, Inc. (San Francisco, CA) (40% Telecommuting permitted) you’ll:
- Lead sales analytics initiatives including advertiser demand forecasting, sales team performance tracking, and data-driven ad hoc analyses supporting key decisions
- Use various data systems to develop financial and operational metrics dashboards and reports and leverage data to surface key insights and drive strategic decision-making
- Model unit economics, revenue, COGS, and opex trends in Excel to support quarterly, annual, and long-range business planning
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to improve performance of programs across Global Ads, including go-to-market playbooks, sales productivity, product roadmap and launches, pipeline analytics
- Identify levers to drive productivity and scale ads business and lead cross-functional performance improvement programs across Ads R&D and Revenue Operations organization
- Support business partners with negotiating and structuring commercial terms and present business results to company leadership and prepare presentation materials
What You’ll Bring to The House
- Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, or closely related quantitative field and
- Two (2) years of experience in the position offered or as an Analyst/Associate, or closely related position, in the business/finance industry
- As an alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Bachelor’s degree in the fields above followed by five (5) years of experience in positions specified above
- Full term of experience must include Utilizing advanced Excel functions, financial modeling, and statistical tools to conduct unit economics, Return on Invested Capital (ROIC), Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and Operating Expenses (OPEX) analyses to inform key strategic and investment decisions. Employing financial analysis methodologies such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and sensitivity analyses to conduct cost/benefit analyses of potential commercial agreements. Supporting strategy development and long-range planning utilizing competitive research and analysis of product, operational, and financial metrics. Setting and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to drive organizational performance and alignment. Performing thorough industry analysis and conducting market sizing, leveraging external databases and analytical tools

The starting salary for this role is expected to range $185,000 - $201,000/year on an annualized basis.
We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With equal quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date.
Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
