Senior Clinical Operations Associate
About the Role
We’re seeking a strategic and proactive Senior Clinical Operations Associate to help us build smarter systems and improve care for our patients and clinicians. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings a blend of operational excellence and systems thinking, and enjoys working cross-functionally to solve complex problems.
You will own and improve critical systems that support patient access and clinician efficiency, including our clinical availability forecasting model and clinician calendar optimization. You will also be responsible for driving progress on assigned Clinical Operations OKRs, supporting clinician licensing and collaborative physician assignments, managing patient panel transitions, and partnering closely with teams across the company—including data, engineering, credentialing, and clinical leadership—to drive forward strategic projects and pilots.
The ideal candidate is confident working with data, highly detail-oriented, and motivated by improving care satisfaction for both patients and clinicians while optimizing for key business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Clinician Calendar Optimization
- Own and maintain the clinical availability forecasting model, which predicts current patient visit needs and opens new intake slots based on real-time clinician availability
- Perform weekly audits of model outputs to ensure calendars are optimized to meet intake targets
- Identify and resolve inefficiencies in clinician scheduling using a data-informed, strategic approach
Clinical Workforce Planning
- Execute our long-term clinician licensing strategy in partnership with leadership and the licensing and credentialing team
- Design and manage a system for assigning collaborative physicians based on state regulations; coordinate agreement paperwork and ensure documentation is current and compliant
- Manage patient panel coverage during clinician attrition or extended leave
Strategic Initiatives & Operational Support
- Serve as the directly responsible individual on assigned OKRs, with current priorities including clinician utilization
- Translate strategic goals into executable workflows, timelines, communication plans, and performance tracking
- Collaborate closely with data, tech, and clinical leadership teams on special projects and pilots to improve access and system efficiency
- Serve as on-call lead one week per month to triage and resolve clinical team questions and requests
- Contribute to departmental initiatives such as onboarding redesigns, policy development, and process improvement
Data Analysis
- Use SQL, Looker, and Google Sheets to answer operational questions, build dashboards, and visualize trends
- Partner with the data team on more complex analyses that inform team and company-wide decisions
- Continue developing your data skills to serve as a resource for the Clinical Operations team
Skills & Competencies
- 2–4 years of experience in clinical operations, public health, or a healthcare startup environment
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; proficiency in SQL and a BI platform (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to shift quickly from planning to execution
- Effective communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration experience
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to independently drive work forward
- Ability to anticipate downstream impacts and build scalable, proactive systems
- Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change in a mission-driven startup environment
- Passion for improving care access and clinician satisfaction through operational excellence
- Preferred experience: Experience with clinician licensing, credentialing, or collaborative physician agreement processes
