Technical Recruiter (Part-Time)

United States
Are you looking for a role in a company that's solving one of the greatest challenges of our lifetime? Ophelia helps people end their opioid use and restore their quality of life with respect for their time and dignity. Our mission is to make evidence-based treatments for opioid use disorder (OUD) accessible to everyone... and we're looking to bring more people onto our team to help us achieve it.

Ophelia is a venture-backed, healthcare startup that helps individuals with OUD by providing FDA-approved medication and clinical care through a telehealth platform. Our approach is discreet, convenient, and affordable. We've been successfully operating in 16 states for almost six years and we're excited to continue our growth. We are a team of physicians, scientists, entrepreneurs, researchers and White House advisors, backed by leading technology and healthcare investors working to re-imagine and re-build OUD treatment in America.

About the Role:

Ophelia is seeking a part-time Technical Recruiter to lead hiring across our technology departments, including Software Engineering, Data, Product Management, and Product Design. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on sourcing incredible technical talent, building genuine relationships with candidates, and partnering closely with hiring managers to make amazing hires. It is a full-cycle recruiting role, including research, sourcing, interview coordination, candidate management, and closing. A successful Tech Recruiter at Ophelia is someone who is proactive, goal-oriented, and genuinely motivated by helping candidates find their dream in our growing tech teams. We’re looking for someone who can bring a strong point of view on what excellent technical hiring looks like, while staying flexible enough to adapt it to Ophelia's fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

This is a part-time role at approximately 20 hours/week, reporting to Ophelia's Talent Acquisition Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Own Full-Cycle Technical Recruiting: Manage sourcing, screening, and closing for open roles across the tech team; this could be software engineering, data/analytics, product, and design.
  • Source Creatively: Go beyond inbound applicants by building and running proactive sourcing strategies to find passive, high-caliber technical talent; can easily manage complex or niche searches with narrow or highly specific requirements.
  • Build Nurture Campaigns: Develop and maintain talent pipelines and nurture campaigns so we have warm relationships with strong candidates before roles open.
  • Deliver a Great Candidate Experience: Ensure every technical candidate has a transparent, respectful, and well-paced experience with Ophelia.
  • Design & Refine Interview Plans: Build effective, role-specific interview plans in partnership with hiring managers, and adjust them based on what's working, and what isn’t.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers: Act as a trusted advisor to tech leadership, helping calibrate role requirements and interview processes, pressure-test job descriptions, and keep pipelines moving.
  • Use Data to Drive Decisions: Track pipeline health and hiring metrics, and use those insights to identify bottlenecks and adjust sourcing or process in real time.
  • Learn the Business: Develop a working understanding of Ophelia's way of working, and our tech team’s hiring preferences, so you can align your recruiting approach accordingly.
  • Manage the Details in Greenhouse: Keep requisitions, candidate stages, and reporting clean and current.

Skills & Competencies:

  • 4+ years of technical recruiting experience, in in-house or corporate recruiting roles.
  • Well-networked; has dedicated time throughout their career building a fantastic network of technical talent that they can lean on in this role.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing for complex technical roles in high demand, including software engineering, data/analytics, product, and/or design roles.
  • Intrinsically motivated by service to hiring teams as you find real satisfaction in helping others hire well, not just in closing reqs.
  • Collaborative by default; our Tech Team is rooted in an agile approach, centered on continuous alignment, growth, and learning.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple searches and stakeholders without dropping details.
  • Comfortable working with data and pipeline metrics to inform sourcing strategy and process improvements.
  • A track record of building candidate nurture campaigns and pipelines, not just filling immediate reqs.
  • Skilled at designing interview plans and iterating on them based on real hiring data and feedback.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, change, and a fast-paced, evolving environment; able to prioritize independently.
  • Preferred:
    • Greenhouse ATS experience
    • Startup recruiting experience
    • Healthcare recruiting experience
Ophelia Compensation Overview
  • We set compensation based on the level and skills required for the role. We value pay transparency and equity, and are committed to fair pay. In order to prevent pay disparities and reduce time spent in negotiations, we take a “first and best” offer approach: this means we’re not holding any compensation back from our candidates, and you can feel confident that our pay is fair and does not vary based on the strength of someone’s negotiation skills.
  • Compensation is dynamic at Ophelia: as long as the company performs well and meets our targets, there will be opportunities for increased compensation annually. We’re happy to discuss this approach and our bands if you have questions during the interview process.

Compensation Range

$65 - $75 USD

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
