We are seeking an experienced marketing analyst to drive our performance marketing efforts and help grow Oportun’s Personal Loans and Savings products. You will have the opportunity to drive member acquisition across a suite of paid / owned channels, playing a key role in developing new strategy, launching test & learn initiatives, and leading integrated marketing campaigns from concept to execution. This role partners with the Credit Risk, Data Science, and Product teams to streamline processes, improve segmentation, and drive improved campaign performance. This is an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced organization where your contributions will have a meaningful impact on increasing access to lending products for consumers with little or no credit history.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Referral Campaign Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to increase program awareness, drive member acquisition, and enhance engagement across different channels and member segments. Set test & learn agenda around new business innovation, and growth initiatives.
  • Paid Media Management: Manage paid digital campaigns (SEM, Facebook, Apple Search Ads, Google Ad Campaign, etc) to drive traffic and conversions, ensuring efficient and effective use of budget.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of campaigns. Generate reports and insights to inform strategy adjustments and improve cost to acquire.
  • Forecast & Budget Management: Routinely forecast key performance metrics such as new applications, loans, and disbursements by channel. Manage channel budget to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including credit risk, Data science, finance, and product teams to ensure cohesive marketing efforts and support business goals.
  • Web Analytics: Conduct analysis for A/B testing to identify the optimal creatives, landing pages, and experiences on Oportun web and mobile.
  • Business Communication: Present analytical output to inform strategic and tactical decision making and guide business decisions. Communicate insights to executive level leadership and cross-business stakeholders.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a data or analytically driven role, preferably in Fintech or a consumer-products oriented company
  • Experience using database languages (any SQL variant) required; Python / SAS experience preferred
  • Experience in communicating results to both analytically oriented and broader audiences
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, Power point etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization and BI tools (Birst, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
  • Comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced, and agile environment
  • Proactive approach and builder’s mindset toward finding new growth opportunities for the business
  • Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Highly inclined to want to automate everything
