Key Responsibilities
The Phlebotomist will perform routine drawing of scheduled labs and will administer immunization on an as needed basis. The Phlebotomist will manage and organize all new lab orders and create efficient routes based on needed labs. The Phlebotomist will have a strong working knowledge of the EMR with the ability to manage all documents and reports related to drawn labs. The Phlebotomist will work in conjunction with the patient onboarding department, the clinical coordinator department as well and other tasks as determined by office leadership.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Ability to easily read a map and use GPS effectively to logically and cost effectively route trips as needed
- Vehicle will be maintained and available daily to perform job function - a company car may be available based on meeting specific qualification criteria
- Ensures the safety of the provider, the patient, and self by providing a clean, safe working environment
- Review and confirm patient records to ensure proper documentation
- Complete appropriate paperwork per laboratory request, based upon laboratory requisition slip
- Obtain patient’s signature when appropriate for any labs or immunizations
- Confirm visits with facilities/patients providing them with expected arrival time to ensure patient will be in the building
- Assist clinical office staff , including but not limited to answering phone, working within the EMR attaching documents, lab order follow-up and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Must have current and valid driver’s license
- Ability to perform phlebotomy and give injections
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to communicate professionally with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy/Lab Technician certification preferred
- Previous clinical experience, preferably with geriatric patients

- Main Service Area: Saginaw, Midland, Bay City and surrounding areas
Hours
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Pay Range
$15 - $17.50 USD
