Responsibilities:

  • During the onboarding phase, experienced members of the Statistics And Machine Learning team will help you familiarize yourself with our technologies and enhance your skill set, enabling you to contribute to the development of cutting-edge optimization and AI tools for the logistics industry.
  • Actively involved in the software development life cycle, encompassing research, design, experimentation, development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance, to ensure the stability and quality of the codebase.
  • Conduct research and implement best practices to enhance the performance of our statistics and machine learning infrastructure within production environments.
  • Enjoy the freedom to innovate and apply novel methodologies and techniques.
  • Gain valuable insights and knowledge from leaders in the fields of AI and optimization.

Qualifications:

  • MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Operations Research, or Mathematics/Physics OR BS in one of these fields and two or more years of industry experience
  • Significant experience with Python
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience writing complex queries and optimizing them for performance
  • Background classwork or experience in optimization, probability, and statistics
  • Experience with data modeling, data structures, and algorithms
  • Some background in machine learning or artificial intelligence.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and find resolutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Experience aggregating, reporting and communicating statistical insights to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Cloud Computing platforms: Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google App Engine or similar
  • Some experience with DevOps (i.e. Docker, Github Actions etc.)
  • Background in stochastic optimization
  • Knowledge about logistics and/or supply chain
  • Background in DuckDB (or similar analytics database) and/or DBT

The salary range for this role is $140,000 to $160,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
