Vice President of Aftermarket
Summary:
The Vice President of Aftermarket is responsible for overseeing the growth, trajectory, development and daily activities of the Service Departments, Compressor Rebuild Department, Compliance Department and Parts Department to ensure internal and external customers’ needs are met and exceeded. Drive Aftermarket growth to meet APCCO’s strategic goals and position APCCO as a premier industry leader in all services offered. Promote personnel development, team building and recruitment. Work with departments to improve processes, reduce waste, and manage margins and overhead. The Vice President of Aftermarket is a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drives a one team one purpose collaborative mentality across all divisions of the company
- Strategic department planning and business development
- Oversight and management of Service, Rebuild, Compliance and Parts departments
- Oversight and management of department Managers and all Aftermarket personnel to ensure that
- company and department objectives are met.
- Oversight and management of Aftermarket sales staff and administrative staff to drive sales efforts
- company wide
- Responsible for preparation, achieving and maintaining department budgets
- Oversee invoicing process to ensure departments are meeting margin targets
- Work in collaboration with APCCO sales teams to strategically target non-APCCO customers and markets
- and use marketing tools and platforms to increase APCCO’s presence in desired areas
- Continually work to achieve the most efficient and effective department structure and organization,
- processes, procedures, standardization, through continuous improvement, etc.
- Work with Service Department Leaders to develop their management and leadership skills while
- possessing the skills and abilities to performance manage individuals as needed.
- Develops and implements methods to record, assess and analyze customer feedback
- Drive a safety centered culture where safe work practices are taught, expected, and exemplified
- Ensure that customers’ needs, and expectations exceeded
- Acts as a liaison between the Aftermarket and other divisions in the company.
- Make decisions based on customer needs, desires, and expectations and on APCCO standards,
Customer Contact
- Interface with customers and develop solutions to address their needs and requests.
- Ensure clients are satisfied with work quality and dealings with APCCO personnel.
- Develop partnerships with customers by setting and holding personnel accountable to keeping achievable commitment dates, understanding customers’ product, requirements and style of operating.
- Coach team members in how to develop and sustain customer partnerships. Make our customers’ vision/mission/goals, ours as well.
- Coach and hold team members accountable for effective communication and interaction with customers.
Personnel Coaching
- Define strategic goals for all Aftermarket personnel that support APCCO vision, mission and goals.
- Build a team of well-qualified and trained professionals, help team members to realize their potential
- and understand prospective careers paths within APCCO.
- Champion and direct continuous learning and improvement in all Service/Aftermarket-related
- functions in accordance with APCCO philosophy.
- Work with Human Resources & Safety in ensuring compliance with company policies and safety
- standards.
- Promote an internal partnership/team with other APCCO departments and divisions assisting in
- breaking down the invisible segregation barrier.
- Create a positive team atmosphere by modeling and promoting teamwork, diversity, cooperation,
- communication, professionalism and respectful mannerisms among all APCCO team members, and
- hold employees accountable to do the same.
- Follow performance management guidelines to define performance and development objectives for
- assigned employees. Objectives should engage employees in supporting APCCO Strategic Plan.
- Ensure that all personnel comply with APCCO practices and procedures and adhere to all regulatory
- standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interview, hires, and supports the training of supervisory staff
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department(s)
- Establishes regular communication with Department Heads/Mgr.’s to maintain a good flow of communication
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment and is in an open room with constant activity and interaction with cross-functional divisions, departments and sections. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phone, photocopies, filing cabinets, fax machines and other equipment as needed. This job will also at times be at customers locations, where the environment will be open, loud and various pieces of equipment and in use, along with the exposure to a variety of sights and smell, including a variety of processing chemicals.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Extensive management experience, preferably coaching, training and mentoring
- Advanced Accounting practices, theories and principles, business financial analytics
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, codes, industry standards, etc.
Position Type/Expected Work Hours:
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours are Monday through Friday _8_am to _5_ pm, however, based on the needs of the job, work hours may vary.
Travel:
- Travel is expected for this position, based on the duties to service the needs of the customer(s).
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent
- 10 years of experience in the industry with increasing responsibilities and supervision
- 5 years of experience managing various levels of staff including supervisory positions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

All APCCO employees who drive company owned vehicles or drive their own vehicle for company purposes:
- Must read, understand and follow the requirements of the APCCO Motor Vehicle Policy and Vehicle Policy
- Maintain a valid driver’s license
- Provide a clear DMV record that is insurable with our company vehicle insurance carrier, including no accidents, incidents or DUI in the past 5 years ((and updated annually)
- Participate in company-sponsored programs to maintain or improve safety
