Principal Product Manager

Austin, Texas

About Osano:

Osano is an innovative B-Corporation built around a simple belief: privacy is a fundamental right. Since day one, we’ve been focused on giving modern enterprises the ability to innovate quickly, stay competitive, and earn customer trust by respecting data privacy and complying with consent guidelines. Our products help organizations operate confidently in a rapidly evolving regulatory and technological landscape.

About the Role:

  • We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to own and drive one or more strategic product areas within Osano’s platform.
  • This is not a traditional roadmap-coordination role. This is a high-ownership, execution-focused position for someone who wants to operate like a mini-GM for a product area — balancing customer needs, product strategy, engineering alignment, operational rigor, and business outcomes.
  • This role has two major dimensions:

Part 1 — Product Ownership

You will fully own a product area, including roadmap prioritization, continuous delivery, and ensuring Engineering has complete clarity around what is being built, why it matters, and sequencing priorities.

Part 2 — Principal-Level Operational Leadership

As a Principal PM, you will help raise the bar across the Product organization by improving consistency, mentoring peers through influence, and helping shape how product development operates at Osano as we scale in an increasingly AI-native environment.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves decisively, embraces ownership, and prefers building and shipping over process-heavy product management.

Responsibilities:

Product Ownership & Execution

  • Own roadmap, prioritization, and execution for one or more strategic product areas
  • Operate with accountability for product outcomes, delivery quality, and execution consistency
  • Define and execute 6–12 month roadmaps aligned with company objectives and customer needs
  • Drive continuous shipping and iterative delivery with a strong bias toward learning and execution
  • Ensure Engineering teams have clear understanding of priorities, sequencing, customer value, and business impact
  • Partner closely with Engineering to maintain a predictable, high-quality release cadence
  • Lead agile product development using Scrum, Kanban, or similar frameworks

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, GTM, and Executive Leadership to align priorities and execution
  • Communicate product strategy, tradeoffs, and roadmap decisions clearly across stakeholders
  • Drive alignment in ambiguous or rapidly changing situations
  • Help teams make decisive, informed product decisions even when data is incomplete

Operational Leadership & Product Excellence

  • Raise the bar for product quality, consistency, and operational rigor across the Product organization
  • Mentor and influence Product peers without direct management responsibility
  • Help improve prioritization discipline, delivery practices, and product operating consistency
  • Bring structure and clarity to fast-moving product initiatives

AI & Innovation

  • Aggressively incorporate AI-native workflows into discovery, prioritization, product operations, and execution
  • Leverage AI and agentic tools to improve team efficiency and product development velocity
  • Partner with Engineering to adapt product practices for an AI-accelerated development environment
  • Evaluate opportunities and risks introduced by rapidly evolving AI capabilities and technologies

About You:

  • You are energized by fast-moving environments where ownership and execution matter more than hierarchy
  • You operate with urgency while maintaining strong judgment and product quality
  • You are highly adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • You think like a business owner, not just a roadmap manager
  • You are decisive and action-oriented, even when information is incomplete
  • You communicate clearly and create alignment across technical and non-technical teams
  • You are curious, open-minded, and excited by emerging technologies — especially AI
  • You actively seek feedback and help elevate those around you
  • You prefer building, learning, and shipping over excessive process

Must-Haves:

  • 8–10+ years of Product Management experience in B2B SaaS or ISV environments
  • Proven experience operating as a senior individual contributor with ownership over a product line or major product area
  • Strong track record operating in high-velocity environments with continuous or weekly release cadences
  • Experience building and executing 6–12 month product roadmaps
  • Strong partnership experience with Engineering teams on technical SaaS products
  • Strong understanding of APIs, SDKs, integrations, distributed systems, and SaaS architecture concepts
  • Clearly demonstrate how you have questioned, learned and used AI in the last 24 months to reinvent your product craft.
  • Ability to think strategically while operating hands-on within execution details
  • Demonstrated ability to forecast product risks, delivery bottlenecks, and operational challenges ahead of time
  • Experience mentoring or influencing Product peers without direct management authority
  • Confidence using AI tools and workflows to improve product execution and decision-making

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in privacy, security, governance, integrations, middleware, or data platform domains
  • Familiarity with event-driven systems or platform-oriented SaaS environments
  • Experience prototyping or experimenting using modern AI tooling
  • Experience scaling product practices in high-growth SaaS organizations

Why Us:

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
