Director, Member Experience Strategy

Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Director, Member Experience Strategy to join our Member Experience Team.

About the role:

You will drive the strategy, program design and implementation of a specific department. The primary responsibility for this role is to set the overall department strategy and deploy tactics that allow us to enhance our overall program value.

You will report into the Vice President, Member Experience.

Work Location: This is a remote / work-from-home role. Unless you reside within 30 miles of a designated office, you would be Hybrid. As a Hybrid, you would have to be in the office 3 days a week, and Thursday is mandatory.

Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Washington is: $198,720 - $260,820 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $178,848 - 234,738 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Set, drive and execute =the department's strategy and vision to enhance the overall value and impact of the Member Experience Program, including identifying and evaluating new opportunities
  • Understand the competitive landscape, member needs, and relevant healthcare and consumer trends; serve as a thought leader for the MemX department
  • Work cross functionally to bring new ideas to life, build alignment and drive accountability through influence and indirect leadership
  • Lead the planning and program management of key company and department strategy initiatives
  • Own and continuously evaluate the financial, operational, and performance of the department
  • Report to Senior Leadership on the health of the business, strategic priorities, performance, risks, and required decisions
  • Drive the budgeting process and the fiscal performance of the team in partnership with the leadership team
  • Develop and grow direct reports, ensuring colleagues receive clear direction, coaching, and professional development
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in healthcare strategy and operations, and/or related field
  • 6+ years of management experience
  • 3+ years experience in leading large-scale cross functional initiatives

Bonus points:

  • Master's degree
  • Clinical licensure
  • Management Consulting experience with a focus on healthcare
  • Experience modeling in Excel / Google Sheets
  • Experience in a growth-stage company

Travel required:

  • Up to 10%

Pay Transparency:  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
