About the Role 

Otto Aerospace is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior SAP Integration & Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and administration of our SAP landscape. This hybrid role combines deep expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) integration with light-touch SAP system and user administration responsibilities. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in enterprise integration and familiarity with SAP Basis administration, particularly in cloud-hosted environments where core infrastructure tasks are managed by SAP. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Architect and implement complex integration solutions across enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HCM, PLM, MES, etc.) using SAP BTP Integration Suite
  • Lead the development of APIs, event-driven integrations, and data pipelines using SAP BTP and related middleware technologies
  • Collaborate with SAP hosting provider to coordinate system-level activities such as transport management, patching, and performance monitoring
  • Administer SAP user roles and authorizations, including role design and assignment in coordination with SAP’s cloud administration tools
  • Configure and manage SAP Cloud Connector for secure integration between on-premise and cloud systems
  • Work with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align integration and system strategies with business goals
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration performance and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements

Who You Are 

Eligibility

  • Must be a United States citizen or a Green Card holder

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field is required

Certifications (Preferred) 

  • SAP Certified Associate – Integration Developer (SAP Integration Suite) 
  • SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP S/4HANA System Administration 
  • SAP Certified Professional – Solution Architect – SAP BTP (preferred) 
  • Additional certifications in SAP HANA, NetWeaver, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) are a plus

Experience 

  • 7+ years of experience in SAP technical roles, including: 
  • 5+ years in SAP integration development using SAP BTP Integration Suite, CPI or PI/PO
  • Experience with SAP Basis/system administration in cloud-hosted environments, with emphasis on user management, role configuration, and coordination with hosting providers
  • Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous)
  • Experience with hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SAP Cloud Connector
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Groovy, or ABAP
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for integration and system deployments

  • API Design (REST, SOAP, OData) OAuth2 / JWT / SAML (for secure integrations) 
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) 
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Where You'll Be

****This is a remote position, with travel to the temporary company headquarters in Ft Worth, TX, 1 week every 4-6 weeks for team collaboration.   Once our new plant in Jacksonville, FL is open (in 1-2 years) you'll travel there 1 week every 4-6 weeks.
