This position will be based in the Philippines.

Reporting

This role will report into the Senior Director, HRBP & Talent Acquisition.

Summary of Role 

Palmetto is seeking a proactive and resourceful HR Generalist to support Philippines-based teammates and manage end-to-end local recruitment. This role plays a dual-focused function across People & Culture and Talent Acquisition, serving as the day-to-day people partner for teammates in the Philippines while collaborating closely with the U.S.-based HR Business Partner and our Employer of Record, Remote.com, to deliver a consistent, high-quality employee experience.

In parallel, this role owns full-cycle recruiting for Philippines-based positions, acting as the internal expert on the local talent market and partnering with hiring managers to attract, assess, and hire top talent. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and passionate about delivering outstanding employee and candidate experiences while building and scaling a strong talent pipeline that supports Palmetto’s growth in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.

Strategic & Tactical

People & Culture (50%)

  • Partner closely with the U.S.-based HR Business Partner (HRBP) and the Remote.com Employer of Record (EOR) HR team to support teammates across a range of people-related matters.
  • Serve as the day-to-day people partner for Philippines-based teammates while collaborating with the HRBP to align on performance management, employee relations, and people strategy.
  • Triage and escalate employee relations topics appropriately between the HRBP and the EOR, ensuring timely, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
  • Coordinate with the EOR on employee lifecycle events, including onboarding, role changes, leaves of absence, and offboarding, to ensure a seamless employee experience.
  • Ensure local HR practices and employee communications are aligned with company-wide People & Culture programs, policies, and expectations.
  • Act as a connector between local context and global people practices by sharing insights, trends, and employee feedback with the broader People & Culture team.
  • Lead and support employee engagement and feedback initiatives, including surveys and follow-up actions, to strengthen organizational culture and continuously enhance the teammate experience.

Talent Acquisition (50%)

  • Manage end to end recruitment for Philippines based roles, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, coordination of interviews, and offer management.
  • Serve as the internal expert on the Philippine talent market and lead localized recruiting and recruitment marketing strategies to attract and engage top talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and develop sourcing strategies tailored to each function.
  • Conduct initial candidate assessments and recommend qualified candidates for hiring manager review.
  • Manage candidate communication throughout the process, ensuring an efficient and positive experience.
  • Create and execute local referral campaigns and internal communications to drive employee participation and engagement.
  • Leverage Greenhouse and other tools to maintain accurate candidate data and ensure timely updates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a mix of HR Generalist, Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience, and/or HR Operations.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering directly with teammates and people managers on performance management, employee relations, and day-to-day people matters.
  • Experience working with an Employer of Record (EOR) model and supporting globally distributed or Philippines-based teams is strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end recruitment processes, including intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer management.
  • Knowledge of the Philippine talent market, including sourcing channels, candidate expectations, and competitive dynamics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable triaging issues, exercising sound judgment, and knowing when to escalate matters to an HRBP.
  • Experience using ATS and HR systems (e.g., Greenhouse or similar) to maintain accurate records and drive process efficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and collaborate closely with U.S.-based partners and global teams.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented, with a strong commitment to delivering an excellent employee and candidate experience.
