About The Role:

Panasonic's new devision, Panasonic Well is hiring for a Head of Technical Program Management (TPgM). In this role, you will report to the Global Head of Operations of Panasonic Well with strong accountability to the Global Heads of Product, Design and Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Program Management leader to join the Program Leadership Team, who will work cross-functionally with leaders across the company (designers, product managers, frontend/backend/data/AI engineers) to build an AI powered new 0-1 consumer-facing health and family wellness product and data platform from the ground-up. The product will launch later in 2025. exposing valuable Panasonic services and data to internal and external consumers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical program management and engineering, with a passion for health and wellness. You need to be comfortable with ambiguity, Agile software delivery and be able to operate in a dynamic 0-1 environment providing structure and leadership where possible and encouraging flexibility and creativity wherever possible.

You must have passion for launching consumer-facing applications that utilize cutting edge technology. You need to be hands-on in a dynamic, fast-moving, and agile environment building high quality, high performance, and scalable Consumer AI and data powered solutions based on a multi-tenant Cloud Infrastructure. You will be expected to ensure all teams are effective and efficient in execution and be able to help teams identify gaps in decision making cross-teams and competencies with a holistic view of the big picture always in mind, even when large changes are occurring.

What You’ll Get To Do:

  • Drive technical programs end-to-end (from concept to launch) including Umi an AI, Data Family Health and Wellness Software product, helping to ensure delivery meets product market fit criteria while ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Coordinate with and influence the strategy of Engineering teams possessing deep knowledge of Consumer Software architectures, AI technologies, data processing pipelines, machine learning algorithms, cloud computing, and software infrastructure.
    • Articulate the technology, requirements, goals and milestones of your team cross-functionally and to leadership.
    • Work within the TPgM team and across Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to identify product and technology gaps, risks and dependencies across the product execution workstreams.
    • Facilitate, manage and cascade informed technical and product decisions and associated risks within and across delivery teams in a timely, coordinated manner.
    • Manage and facilitate prioritization and scoping/descoping across functions as needed to maintain business and technical priorities in conjunction with timeline and product market fit criteria.
    • Orchestrate and optimize the processes and resourcing bottlenecks across complex matrixed cross-functional organizations, including internal and external resource pools, and those borrowed from other areas, e.g., Design, Product, and Engineering to help manage priorities for maximum efficiency and deliverables.
    • Orchestrate work ownership and associated handoffs, keeping work flowing between teams as optimally as possible.
    • Collect, organize, centralize and cleanly distribute all critical program information in a timely fashion so that they are singular sources of truth easily accessible to team members and leadership.
    • Optimize cross-functional collaboration and a meeting forums and cadences to aid communication while maximizing team working efficiency and time.
    • Create visibility and escalate risks/issues/decisions to executive stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of Technical Program Managers (TPgMs) and Agile coaches.
  • Participate in planning and management of product user testing (Trusted Tester) to establish and measure product market fit metrics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project plans, manage timelines, resources, and technical feasibility when required.
  • Present project status updates and key metrics to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Foster communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders across organizations.
  • Optimize ways of working for the overall program and drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer-centricity within the team
  • Managing and collaborating with offshore teams and vendors as necessary.
  • Proven expertise in managing multiple software programs simultaneously, using Agile methodologies, and employing project management tools (Jira, Figma, Confluence & Asana) and techniques.

What You’ll Bring:

  •  10+ years of technical product/program management experience.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise driving and delivering complex AI/ ML technology programs or products from inception to delivery. Including technical program/project management for consumer software products with AI, Data, and Cloud Infrastructure backgrounds. Health, lifestyle, and wellness experience is a plus.
  • Background in hands-on software development with a strong understanding of AI technologies for consumer software products, machine learning concepts, and data management practices. Experience with cloud computing, and data engineering is highly desirable.
  • A deep passion for technology and large scale systems. Experience navigating technical complexity and driving impact through technical understanding
  • Strong program and people leadership and communication skills, able to navigate cross-functional teams through complex multi-phased technology delivery and systemic adoption of 0 to 1 through scaled product lifecycles.
  • Proven expertise in managing multiple programs simultaneously, using Agile methodologies, and employing project management tools and techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management tools including but not limited to Jira, Figma, Confluence and Asana etc.
  • Self-starting, ambitious, focused, and self-sufficient.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience in working with cloud-based platforms and services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking capabilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles and constant change remains flexible and calm when facing uncertainty.
  • Has the ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems both technical and processes.

Grade level and salary ranges are determined primarily through the scope and complexity of the role along with a review of the applicant’s experience and skills, as well as alignment with geographic market data and equity with other team members.
