Purpose of the Position:
The position will play a key role supporting the general finance department activities within the Revenue team and the month-end financial reporting process. The position would suit a university graduate looking to enter private equity in a finance context. The role will provide an opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge on different streams of revenue earned by a PE House including their computation and accounting treatment. It will initially focus on general bookkeeping, fee billing, fund expense recharge and reconciliation work. The role also includes assisting other team members with monthly and quarterly reporting to our parent company AMG. The candidate will be supported by Pantheon to gain relevant accounting qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing daily/weekly journals in SAGE for bank, revenue, expense, and balance sheet transactions.
- Preparing the quarterly client fee rebate packs for reviews.
- Preparing the quarterly fund and client fees for reviews.
- Preparing monthly expense recharge invoices for review and submission.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of accounts to ensure their accuracy.
- Assist with completion of monthly bank reconciliation.
- Provide documentation as required to auditors for the Group/ Corporate and SOX audits.
- Support the finance team with any other projects as required.
Knowledge & Experience Required
- A graduate looking to obtain accountancy qualifications, or part-qualified accountant.
- Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Office including intermediate Excel.
- Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Good concentration.
- Excellent attention to details.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately
- Ability to work on their own initiative
- Excellent team player
