Purpose of Position:
The position holder will oversee the revenue function of the finance team which is responsible for the operational and financial reporting aspects for the Pantheon Group. In this role, you will play a critical role in managing and analysing complex revenue streams across multiple funds and jurisdictions. This position is responsible for the Group’s accurate revenue recognition (computation, accounting, billing, reconciliation to cash, etc.) and for supporting client performance reporting. This role collaborates closely with legal, investor relations and fund finance teams to understand contractual revenue terms, fee rates, billing cadence etc., as well as working with internal counterparties to optimize financial outcomes. This role will also lead any future effort to enhance, modify, and/or replace key Revenue tools and systems, and is also responsible for the design, implementation, day-to-day operation of internal controls over Revenue, including liasing with parties involved in the internal and external audit thereof.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting, a deep understanding of private equity structures, excellent computation/excel modelling skills, a sharp control eye, a mastery of effective and efficient end-to-end processes, and a proactive approach to financial analysis and compliance. Key Responsibilities :
- Leading and developing the Revenue team’s analysts and associates.
- Ensure accurate and timely recognition of management fees, carried interest, and other fund-related revenues in the books and records of the Group and its component entities.
Revenue Recognition
- Ensure accurate and timely recognition of management fees, carried interest, and other fund-related revenues in accordance with applicable accounting standards (predominantly ASC 606/IFRS 15, ASC 820), including documenting technical accounting conclusions reached, policies applied etc.
- Documentation and support for revenue recognition accounting policies.
- Prepare and review revenue entries and reconciliations across multiple corporate entities.
- Manage the month-end close process for Revenue (and certain associated cost categories).
- Managing the colletion of revenues in cash / the AR process.
- Reviewing deal docs for new/modified funds and structures to identify the revenue streams and determining the appropriate revenue recognition policies and practices
Operational Processing and Fund Onboarding
- Ensure accurate set up of clients and funds on billing systems.
- Manage the fee billing cycle to optimize the firms cashflow position.
- Oversight of expense recovery from Pantheon funds and clients in a timely manner.
- Manage rebate processing and payment to clients per side letter terms.
- Manage the quarterly carry calculations for clients with separate accounts.
- Liaise with fund administrators to streamline the quarterly management fee cycles
- Review draft management fee and rebate agreements for potential clients to ensure the sections are drafted correctly and calculations are feasible.
- Review and sign off fee term sheets prepared by the Client Onboarding team.
Financial Analysis & reporting
- Assist in preparing revenue forecasts and contribute to fund budgeting and strategic planning.
- Support investor relations with revenue-related data and insights.
- Support the Client Offboarding team with fee projections for fund term extensions.
Compliance & Audit Support
- Reviewing deal docs for new/modified funds and structures to identify the revenue streams in order to design and operate the calculation, reporting, billing, and analysis of those revenues.
- Operating key Revenue-related internal controls (including sunsetting redundant or ineffective controls, design and implementation of new controls, etc.)
- Working closely with internal and external audit on the periodic verification of reported Revenues.
- Support SOX and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation
- Ensure compliance with fund agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Identify tactical opportunities to streamline revenue tracking and reporting processes.
- Support implementation and optimization of financial management systems (Workday).
- Maintaining, modifying, and (if deemed necessary and appropriate) replacing tools and systems in the end-to-end Revenue process.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred..
- 5-10 years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably within private equity, asset management, financial services, or partnership-structured organizations.
- Strong understanding of private equity fund structures, fee arrangements, etc.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition standards (US GAAP, IFRS, UK FRS or equivalent technical standards).
- Proficiency in accounting systems, expert Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and across borders with team members and management is other jurisdictions.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion and judgement.

Expected base salary range: $150,000 - $160,000
Actual base salary is determined by a range of factors including individual experience, skills and qualifications.
In addition to the above salary, Pantheon offers a generous employee benefits package and successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
