Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Support Engineer with a strong background in supporting critical manufacturing .NET applications and a keen understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with operational experience to maintain, optimize, and ensure the reliability of our critical applications in a high-stakes manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide advanced-level support for critical .NET applications used in manufacturing operations.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve escalated issues in a timely manner to minimize production impact.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
- Communicate in real-time with customer during high-priority escalations.
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Practices:
- Implement and promote SRE principles where applicable to enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Automate repetitive tasks, including deployments, system checks, and recovery processes.
System Maintenance & Optimization:
- Perform routine maintenance and updates of local test environments of customer applications.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure management.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with implementation and testing teams to support application lifecycle management.
- Document troubleshooting guides, best practices, and technical solutions for internal knowledge-sharing.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in technical support or a similar role, with a focus on .NET applications.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and the critical role of software in production environments.
- Experience with SRE practices, including monitoring, incident management, and automation.
- Proficiency in debugging and optimizing .NET applications, with a strong understanding of C#.
- Knowledge of SQL Server database systems and writing efficient queries.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
- Exposure to scripting languages (PowerShell).
- Certification in ITIL, SRE, or cloud technologies is a plus.
