The Opportunity:
The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation frameworks that enhance development workflows, testing processes, and deployment pipelines. This role will play a crucial part in streamlining engineering operations by automating repetitive tasks, improving system integrations, and ensuring efficient CI/CD processes. You will work closely with the Product & technology teams to create scalable and reliable automation solutions that enhance productivity and software quality.
The Responsibilities:
- Develop, deploy, and maintain automation solutions across various departments to improve team productivity and efficiency.
- Integrate and maintain automation frameworks across various tools and platforms.
- Work with our integrations team to remove blockers and manual processes.
- Identify bottlenecks in development and operation workflows.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve software delivery speed and reliability.
- Co-manage software testing processes, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure automated testing is effectively incorporated into the software lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Computer Science, or similar education
- 0 - 2 years experience in a Software Development / Integrations Role
- Python
- Javascript / Typescript
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Passionate about automation and AI potential
- Automated testing platform experience (Appium / Selenium)
- Well-organized in tracking tasks and communicating updates
- Willingness to take on a project, even if there is uncertainty
- (Bonus) Experience w/ Retool
- (Bonus) Experience w/ Jenkins
- (Bonus) Integration experience (Netsuite, Shiphero, Shopify, Amazon, etc)
Salary: $80,000-$87,000 CAD based on experience
