The Opportunity: 

We are seeking a skilled and inspiring Fulfillment Manager to lead our fulfillment operations in our US-based manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has multiple years of experience in a fast-paced shipping environment, setting up and optimizing warehouse workflows for Pela Case and Lomi product distribution. This person will thrive on efficient processes, leading a team, and delivering fast turnaround, accurate fulfillment services at scale. This position is based full-time in Phoenix, Arizona, where Open Mind Developments is launching its first U.S.-based manufacturing and fulfillment facility. To be eligible for this role, candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization at the time of application. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

The Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the warehouse, including order staging, picking, packing, packaging assembly, shipping, receiving, and returns.
  • Monitor daily KPIs, including on-time fulfillment, orders per hour, inventory accuracy, etc. Ensure appropriate staff levels are maintained to meet outbound targets.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective fulfillment of all customer orders across DTC (Direct-to-Consumer), B2B, Amazon, and retail channels.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of supplies and shipping materials.
  • Ensure all shipping systems and hardware are available and operational for use.
  • Manage the communication with our carrier providers.
  • Review carrier rates when needed and provide recommendations on optimized solutions for D2C, B2B and retail networks.
  • Meet the compliance requirements outlined by vendors in their Internal Routing Guides
  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, ensuring effective communication, thorough training, and consistent performance management.
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance reviews to build skills and foster a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture rooted in Pela’s values.
  • Determine and schedule appropriate staffing levels to meet turnaround targets.
  • Be the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding fulfillment and final mile logistics support
  • Help develop future fulfillment plans and strategies for business growth
  • Collaborate with sales, product development, marketing, CX and DX teams to ensure great customer experience and operational excellence
  • Oversee inventory accuracy through good practices, regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to forecast and manage stock levels.
  • Be the point of contact for US warehouse and US stock related questions.
  • Ensure proper use of Warehouse Management Systems and fulfillment tools
  • Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and support scaling operations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Experience, Supply Chain, and E-commerce teams to identify and resolve fulfillment issues
  • Oversee quality control for outbound shipments to ensure order accuracy and minimize returns.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
  • Promote and uphold health, safety, and environmental standards within the department by ensuring safe operation of all equipment, follow all protocols for warehouse safety, conducting inspections and risk assessments while ensuring corrective actions are properly implemented.
  • Champion sustainable practices aligned with the company’s mission, such as minimizing and composting waste, and optimizing material usage.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+years experience supervising warehouse, logistics or fulfillment operations
  • 2+ years of team leadership experience in distribution of fulfillment
  • Strong working knowledge of shipping systems, inventory software and warehouse technology. (eg. NetSuite, ShipHero)
  • Experience managing fulfillment for small parcel(eCommerce) and freight(palletized) shipments
  • Knowledge of sustainable packaging and eco-conscious fulfilment practices
  • Competence with the Google Suite of products
  • Experience hiring & managing a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills, written and verbal
  • Committed to ensuring accurate, outstanding results
  • Self-directed problem solver, proactive and resourceful who is comfortable in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to support a seven-day operation.

Compensation range - USD $48,000-$52,000
