Associate Software Engineer
Location: Raleigh, NC - Hybrid: Onsite 3 days / week

Pendo’s Enterprise teams build high-impact, enterprise-grade features and integrations that extend the value of our core product for large organizations. We deliver complex capabilities like application-based permissions, bulk user management, and customer provisioning, as well as support for SCIM and SAML to streamline identity and access management. Our teams also enable customers to embed Pendo data into their broader technology stack through critical integrations—unlocking insights across tools and workflows, and driving deeper adoption in enterprise environments
Deliverables (what you’ll do):
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement solutions to technical problems
- Break down product requirements into manageable development tasks with guidance
- Write clean, maintainable code and basic unit tests
- Follow Pendo’s coding standards and participate in team code reviews
- Participate in Agile team ceremonies like sprint planning and retrospectives
- Ask questions, seek feedback, and learn continuously through mentorship and collaboration
Qualifications (what you have):
- Experience with back-end or full-stack development in a compiled language such as Go, C, C++, Java, etc. (coursework, internships, or projects welcome)
- Exposure to software development best practices, including version control, testing, and debugging
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly
- A degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with REST APIs, relational databases, and data modeling
- Exposure to third–party APIs or integrations (e.g., Salesforce, Slack, Segment) through projects or coursework
- Curiosity about enterprise-scale systems, integrations, and identity management (SCIM/SAML)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset

Compensation
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.
The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Raleigh, NC is $90,000 - $100,000.
Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
