Team Description

As our Senior Demo Engineer, you’ll sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering and Sales. You won’t just be writing code—you’ll be building polished, production-quality demo applications alongside the Pendo features that shape how prospects perceive our product. The demos you build will directly influence multi-million dollar sales decisions and be a critical lever in our go-to-market execution.

You’ll work autonomously, creatively, and collaboratively to showcase what’s possible with our platform—often before our product even does it natively.

Role Responsibilities 

  • Design & Build Demo Applications
    Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable web and mobile demo apps that highlight our platform’s power and flexibility.
  • Own the Demo Lifecycle
    From idea to execution to maintenance—you’ll be a key component behind our demo strategy, owning everything from code to product implementation to the overall experience.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally
    Partner closely with Sales Engineers, Sales, Product Managers, and Product Marketing to understand use cases and align on demo narratives when we lead up to new product launches or expand into new regions.
  • Bring the Customer Journey to Life
    Build tailored, interactive flows that mirror real-world customer problems and use cases.
  • Enable Sales at Scale
    Develop reusable templates, version-controlled assets, and self-service tooling to help sales scale without losing polish.
  • Drive Feedback Loops
    Relay demo build insights back to Product and Engineering to influence roadmap and UX improvements.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Customer-Facing Experience:
    2+ years in a Solutions Engineer, Customer Success, or related role at a B2B SaaS company, ideally building or maintaining demo assets.
  • Full-Stack Development Skills:
    Strong skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, with experience in front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) and back-end environments (Node.js or similar). Experience with AI dev tools like Cursor or Loveable. Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP, GitHub, and Vercel.
  • Demo-Driven Mindset:
    You think like a storyteller. You know how to guide an audience through a journey that connects features to business value.
  • Strong Sense of Ownership:
    You thrive in ambiguity, set your own deadlines, and take pride in shipping polish.
  • Eye for Detail:
    You can build pixel-perfect UI and know how to hide complexity behind a seamless experience. You can juggle multiple projects in parallel and deliver outstanding results.
  • Process Builder:
    You’ve implemented scalable processes for version control, reusable demo modules, and platform-wide consistency.
  • Creative Technologist:
    You like prototyping, testing tools, experimenting with AI integrations, and hacking together compelling solutions.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Prior experience as a software developer or successful completion of a coding bootcamp
  • Experience with demo platforms like Reprise, Storylane, or Walnut
  • Prior experience with A/B testing, feature flags, or CI/CD pipelines
  • Interest in product-led growth and user-centric storytelling

Compensation

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.

The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Raleigh, NC is $85,700 - $107,100.

Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
