Head of PMO

We are seeking a Head of PMO to lead our PMO effort and expertly develop and manage a diverse team of engineers, subject matter experts, product leaders, and others to compete for and deliver on projects critical to our mission of developing biosecurity intelligence tools for large enterprise customers, including the US Government.  This role is ideally suited to an unflappable business leader who can strategically plan for and lead complex long-term projects.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

In this role you will: 

  • Provide leadership across the organization to develop and maintain standards and properly execute all aspects of project management
  • Plan major project milestones and events for the completion of contract including by developing and maintaining program and task management tools for project performance metrics for visibility and reporting purpose
  • Oversee, develop, and manage resources and staffing across projects and contracts, including managing subcontractors, within budgetary demands
  • Develop and oversee internal communication infrastructure to support change management, policies and procedures, guidelines and training
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to accomplish demands across a range of diverse customers and complex projects
  • Develop strategic guidance on executing on government and private sector contracts and be able to clearly and succinctly communicate out to the team roles and responsibilities
  • Create/implement system for the management and maintenance of project archives
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies

REQUIREMENTS

Required qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in project management with a proven track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional projects
  • Experience with managing projects for US Federal Government customers, preferably Department of Defense
  • Ability to comfortably work on projects with deep technical complexity in engineering, ML/AI, biological risks, and epidemiology.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to communicate effectively in a remote environment across a team with diverse skills and backgrounds
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident

Security Clearance Requirement

  • This position will require security clearance at the Secret level or above.  Applicants must be US citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain the required clearance level.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Total compensation includes salary and stock option grants. The salary range for this position is between $200,000-250,000, and individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. PHC offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, wellbeing offerings, 401K, unlimited PTO, paid holidays, and a work from home stipend. PHC covers 100% of medical premiums for employees and 50% of medical premiums for dependents.
