Photonics Packaging Engineer

Job Title: Photonics Packaging Engineer – Silicon Photonics
Location: Sunnyvale, CA - Onsite | Full-Time/Direct Hire 

We’re building something big in Silicon Photonics—and we’re looking for a Photonics Packaging Engineer who’s excited to get hands-on with fiber-optic components and help us scale from prototype to production.

You’ll play a key role in designing, testing, and refining optical sub-assemblies that power our next-gen products. If you’re passionate about precision, love solving hard problems, and enjoy working cross-functionally—we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and build fiber-optic and integrated optics components (bonus if you’ve worked with multi-fiber connectors)

• Lead reliability testing and qualification efforts

• Collaborate with a team of engineers, vendors, and manufacturing partners

• Use tools like Zemax, SolidWorks, and JMP to bring your designs to life

What You Bring:

• Master’s in Engineering or Physics

• 7+ years in photonics, optics, or related fields

• A knack for solving complex hardware challenges and working across disciplines
