About the Role:
The Revenue Operations team is responsible for creating, maintaining, and continually improving PitchBook’s systems that support our client-facing roles in Sales and Customer Success. This team works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT to drive efficiency, accuracy, and revenue growth.
As the Manager of Deal Support at PitchBook, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and overseeing the deal lifecycle, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders. Leading a team of Deal Desk Coordinators and Deal Auditors, you will oversee contract reviews, deal structuring, and compliance to ensure alignment with PitchBook’s policies and objectives. This role demands a strategic leader with a keen eye for detail, strong process management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams. You will be the linchpin between sales, customer success, finance, and legal teams, driving efficiency, accuracy, and alignment in all deal-related activities.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Deal Desk Coordinators and Deal Auditors, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance
- Set clear expectations, provide coaching and development opportunities, and complete Quarterly Conversations to support team success
- Act as a bridge between Sales, Customer Success, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to align on deal processes, approvals, and requirements
- Drive effective communication and training for the sales team on deal support best practices and policy updates
- Develop and refine workflows, tools, and templates to improve the efficiency and accuracy of deal structuring and contract management processes
- Identify opportunities for automation and innovation to enhance operational performance
- Guide Deal Desk Coordinators in working with the sales team to structure complex deals that align with customer needs while adhering to PitchBook’s policies, pricing strategies, and legal requirements
- Support the team in navigating complex deal scenarios, ensuring solutions meet both customer expectations and organizational objectives
- Provide expertise on discounting strategies, approvals, and contract terms to facilitate smooth deal closure
- Oversee the contract review process, ensuring Deal Auditors accurately review all contracts and orders for errors and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Act as the point of escalation for high-value or complex contracts, ensuring issues are resolved swiftly and appropriately
- Track and analyze deal-related metrics to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on deal desk performance, operational challenges, and key initiatives
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in deal desk operations, sales operations, or contract management, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of deal structuring, sales operations, and contract lifecycle management
- Proven ability to balance customer-centric deal strategies with internal policy adherence and compliance
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams
- Proficiency in CRM and deal management tools (e.g., Conga, Salesforce, CPQ, or similar platforms)
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in complex deals and contracts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams and levels of seniority
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively

Compensation
- Annual base salary: $125,000-$138,000
- Target annual bonus percentage: 15%
*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.
Working Conditions:
We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
