Sr. Product Manager, GTM Systems

Seattle, Washington, United States

At PitchBook, a Morningstar company, we are always looking forward. We continue to innovate, evolve, and invest in ourselves to bring out the best in everyone. We’re deeply collaborative and thrive on the excitement, energy, and fun that reverberates throughout the company.

Our extensive learning programs and mentorship opportunities help us create a culture of curiosity that pushes us to always find new solutions and better ways of doing things. The combination of a rapidly evolving industry and our high ambitions means there’s going to be some ambiguity along the way, but we excel when we challenge ourselves. We’re willing to take risks, fail fast, and do it all over again in the pursuit of excellence.

If you have a good attitude and are willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done, PitchBook is the place for you.

About the Role:

Revenue Operations plays a critical role in ensuring PitchBook’s financial success by improving the platforms, operations, and intelligence that support our go-to-market teams. This team partners with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to deliver scalable and efficient processes across the entire customer lifecycle — from lead generation through revenue recognition and renewal. Revenue Operations is essential to achieving the company’s revenue and operational goals.

The GTM Systems Product team within Revenue Operations owns the internal product management function for all GTM platforms, functioning as product managers for the systems our commercial teams rely on every day. The team works in close partnership with GTM System Administration, Data & Analytics, and Engineering to drive meaningful, measurable platform improvements.

As the Sr. Product Manager, GTM Systems, you will serve as a strategic product owner across PitchBook’s full go-to-market technology stack — spanning Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing platforms. You will own the product vision, roadmap, and delivery for the GTM Systems portfolio, ensuring that our CRM, sales engagement, marketing automation, customer success tooling, and supporting integrations continuously evolve to meet the needs of our revenue-generating teams.

You will work directly with stakeholders across Sales, CS, Marketing, Finance, and Revenue Operations leadership — including executives — to assess business needs, shape platform strategy, and drive execution. Drawing on deep expertise in GTM business processes, enterprise platforms, automation, and integrated systems (e.g., Salesforce, Gong, Marketo, Qualified, and Inflection), you will collaborate with business analysts, tool administrators, and engineering teams to deliver solutions that are scalable, compliant, and impactful.

This is a senior, high-visibility role that requires the ability to think strategically, operate autonomously, influence without authority, and deliver across multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the GTM Systems product roadmap across Sales, CS, and Marketing platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance requirements, and stakeholder priorities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive GTM platform strategy spanning Salesforce CRM, sales engagement tools (Gong), marketing automation platforms (Marketo), and buyer engagement tools (Qualified, Inflection), along with adjacent integrations
  • Lead quarterly and annual planning processes for GTM Systems product investments, translating business strategy into prioritized platform initiatives
  • Balance short-term operational improvements with long-term strategic investments, making clear tradeoff decisions when necessary
  • Deeply understand the needs, pain points, and day-to-day workflows of internal customers — including Sales, CS, Marketing, and Finance teams — to drive operational efficiency and improved business outcomes
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to senior business stakeholders and executives, translating ambiguous needs into clear product direction and actionable requirements
  • Conduct regular discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and process reviews to surface opportunities and validate platform initiatives
  • Act as the primary liaison between Revenue Operations, Sales, CS, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Engineering — ensuring alignment and clear communication across all workstreams
  • Develop detailed functional specifications for tool, code/low-code, workflow, and data changes across the GTM platform portfolio
  • Write and maintain clear, concise product requirement documentation (PRDs) to guide development teams and ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs
  • Partner with engineering and system administrators to manage sprint execution, resolve blockers, and ensure high-quality platform releases
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to address evolving GTM needs, including CRM, marketing automation (Marketo), sales engagement, and analytics platforms
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements across GTM systems and implement best practices for scalability, efficiency, and compliance
  • Define, track, and report on KPIs, platform adoption metrics, and usage data to measure impact and guide decision-making
  • Partner with Data & Analytics teams to ensure GTM platforms are instrumented and that data flows accurately across systems
  • Stay current with enterprise GTM technologies, SaaS trends, and industry best practices to continuously enhance platform capabilities
  • Model and actively reinforce PitchBook’s values and desired behaviors, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Mentor and support junior product managers on the GTM Systems team, helping them develop their craft and grow their impact
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, system development, or a closely related field, with a demonstrated track record of delivering impactful platform improvements
  • 7+ years of experience in GTM systems, business process, Revenue Operations, or other related experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience with GTM enterprise platforms, including Salesforce CRM, Gong, and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo)
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end GTM business processes across Sales, CS, and Marketing — including lead management, pipeline management, sales engagement, and campaign execution
  • Proven experience writing detailed functional specifications, PRDs, and user stories to drive complex platform development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering measurable, data-driven outcomes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex platform concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executives
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels without direct authority
  • Experience with data integration, APIs, and enterprise systems architecture
  • Proficiency in product management tools including JIRA and Confluence
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience managing a broad GTM platform portfolio spanning both Sales/CS and Marketing systems simultaneously
  • Familiarity with conversational marketing or buyer engagement platforms (e.g., Qualified, Inflection) and/or sales intelligence tools (e.g., ZoomInfo, 6sense)
  • Experience with revenue operations platforms or data tools that support pipeline visibility, forecasting, or go-to-market analytics
  • Background in financial data, analytics, or B2B SaaS environments
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree or experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
