About the Role:

The Marketing team at PitchBook is critical to fueling the company’s growth by utilizing a variety of strategies to support our Sales and Customer Success departments grow and retain our client base. The Marketing department is responsible for all demand generation efforts by executing engaging campaigns, effective product marketing strategies, and attending client and trade-show events. The Marketing team is also responsible for promoting the PitchBook brand and supporting internal communications. 

The Sr. Specialist, Events & Partnerships at PitchBook plays a key role in executing both impactful client experiences and a robust conference and industry partnership strategy. Based in New York, this role serves as the primary point of contact for the Commercial Team for client hosting in the region, while playing an equally important role in supporting conference execution and partnership fulfillment across the team’s broader calendar. This position requires a strong balance of creativity and refined execution – we are looking for a candidate who is eager to experiment, explore new tactics, and continually improve our ability to connect with clients and prospects. 

The right candidate thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and takes ownership over an aggressive roadmap of marketing opportunities. The ability to work effectively across various internal teams – including the Commercial Team, the PitchBook Institutional Research Group, Product, and Marketing – is critical to ensuring a cohesive approach to our events and partnership strategy. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, management and execution of client event and hosting programs predominantly in New York, including client events, dinners, receptions, networking and other interactive engagements designed to strengthen relationships and support the Commercial Team while driving impact back to the business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to event documentation, Commercial team enablement, and Commercial post-event follow-up strategy, as well as tracking analytics and ROI. Support the day-to-day operations of the company's gifting program, including inventory management, platform maintenance, price allocations, and ship notices for new products. Responsibilities include Commercial Team enablement and training on gifting initiatives, driving user adoption, and supporting global reporting to surface activity, engagement, and ROI across the program.
  • Support the planning, management, and execution of conferences and industry partnerships designed to drive lead generation, deepen client relationships, and strengthen our brand position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to marketing automation, budget tracking, event documentation, on-site coordination and staffing, vendor and venue management, signage, shipping, and swag fulfillment. Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Marketing, and Product teams to align messaging and maximize event ROI. Coordinate with current and potential industry partners to negotiate and fulfill partnership agreements, manage limited-access and sponsorship programs, and drive measurable mutual value for both parties and internal stakeholders, while tracking key performance metrics to inform future investment decisions.
  • Support the planning and logistics of webinars and content-driven events designed to drive lead generation and client retention, educate our client base and strengthen our brand position. Responsibilities include coordination with internal stakeholders and pre- and post-execution.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the PitchBook brand and culture, ensuring consistent brand execution through messaging, design, and overall Event & Partnership experience.
  • Manage event and gifting communications, promotions, and pre- and post-event follow-up and preparation with the Commercial Team to ensure effective staffing, training, and engagement.
  • Evaluate, measure, and report on the strategic effectiveness of Events & Partnerships initiatives and programs.
  • Track and manage event and travel budgets each quarter to align with event allocation.
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors 
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing or a related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in Marketing, Events, and/or Demand Generation
  • A team player with the ability to work in a regional office while maintaining strong collaboration with global teams
  • Experience collaborating with a Commercial or Sales Team to support shared goals and drive business outcomes
  • Relentlessly High Standards. Demonstrated ability to create successful marketing-driven event programs
  • Ability to work on a global team across time zones
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
  • Excellent Communication. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working with vendors, including contract negotiation and management
  • Technically savvy. Experience with Asana or other marketing project management tools, Marketo, Salesforce, Sendoso, Splash, or similar marketing platforms preferred
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $80,000-$105,000
  • Target annual bonus percentage: 7.5%

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
