The Role:
As the Director of Sales Operations - Canada, you will own the strategic direction, field development, and operational execution of our Canadian market. Your mission is to drive substantial growth in sales, customer acquisition, and field leadership, while ensuring seamless alignment with global strategies. You’ll be accountable for building a high-performing sales organization and managing all local business operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

This role will be a remote role in Canada, requiring up to 25% travel to field locations.

What You Will Accomplish (KPIs):

  • Achieve or exceed annual Canadian sales targets, customer acquisition goals, and retention metrics.
  • Increase leadership rank advancements and sign-ups in the Canadian field.
  • Maintain operational excellence with regulatory compliance.
  • Launch and scale market-specific campaigns contributing to increased market share and brand engagement.
  • Deliver quarterly KPI dashboards to global HQ with actionable insights and trend analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth Execution
    • Design and implement an annual Canadian growth plan aligned with global objectives, including revenue, retention, and field leadership goals.
    • Collaborate with global executive leadership to localize and operationalize sales and marketing strategies that drive market penetration and profitability.
  • Sales Leadership & Program Deployment
    • Launch market-specific sales programs, incentives, and compensation strategies to drive performance.
    • Serve as a strategic coach to field leaders, supporting their business growth and professional development.
  • Performance Monitoring & Insights
    • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Canadian market using dashboards and performance reviews.
    • Use data-driven analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Marketing & Brand Alignment
    • Oversee the execution of localized marketing campaigns that resonate with Canadian consumers and adhere to brand standards.
    • Ensure high-quality translation and adaptation of all marketing assets.
  • Operational Oversight
    • Manage all local business operations including vendor relationships, compliance, HR, inventory management, and office administration.
    • Conduct regular audits and enforce local SOPs to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Field Engagement & Representation
    • Act as the primary liaison for the Canadian field, representing their voice at headquarters and maintaining a regular presence via travel, events, and meetings.

Performance-Based Qualifications:

  • Educational Foundation
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience) with a strong grounding in commercial strategy and organizational leadership.
  • Leadership & Business Impact
    • Demonstrated success leading national or regional sales organizations for 8+ years, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior managerial capacity.
    • Proven ability to develop and execute multi-year sales strategies that directly contributed to measurable revenue growth, improved customer acquisition, and enhanced retention.
    • Examples of aligning a sales or market expansion strategy with global or enterprise-level priorities, resulting in quantifiable business outcomes.
  • Market-Specific Strategy & Execution
    • Experience launching and adapting sales, compensation, or incentive programs that addressed the unique demands of a local market, with evidence of increased field productivity or program adoption.
    • Track record of tailoring marketing strategies to regional needs, including localization of campaigns, messaging, and materials while ensuring brand alignment.
  • Operational & Regulatory Proficiency
    • History of managing full-market operations—such as vendor oversight, inventory management, HR functions, or local compliance—with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and audit readiness.
    • Demonstrated experience leading initiatives to streamline operational processes or implement SOPs that led to measurable improvements in accuracy, compliance, or cost savings.
  • Performance Monitoring & Analytical Thinking
    • Expertise in developing and using KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to guide business decisions and ensure accountability at all organizational levels.
    • Strong examples of using data to identify performance gaps, course-correct strategies, or influence cross-functional teams toward common goals.
  • Field Development & Leadership Coaching
    • Evidence of cultivating high-performing sales leaders through structured coaching, mentorship programs, or performance development initiatives.
    • Behavioral examples where leadership efforts directly resulted in field growth, rank advancements, or increased engagement and satisfaction scores.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Recognized for high-level interpersonal and communication skills, with successful experience as a spokesperson or liaison between local field teams and executive leadership.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, manage sensitive issues diplomatically, and represent the company with professionalism in high-stakes environments.
  • Adaptability & Execution in Dynamic Environments
    • History of leading teams or business units through periods of rapid growth, organizational change, or market shifts, while maintaining a focus on results and culture.
    • Examples of managing competing priorities and resource constraints while delivering results on time and within budget.
