The Role

As a Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing IT solutions tailored to our evolving business needs. You will focus on translating business requirements into high-performing, scalable, and technically feasible solutions. Success in this role is measured by the impact your designs have on the business and the effective execution of these solutions.

Key Performance Objectives

  • Successfully design and implement 3-5 solutions that result in tangible positive business outcomes within the first year.
  • Ensure all proposed architectures are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead the solution design process, delivering on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, product teams, and various stakeholders to develop project proposals, conduct proofs-of-concept, and ensure successful delivery.
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure solutions align with technology standards, industry models, and design objectives, as defined by enterprise architecture and the CTO.
  • Technical Design: Assess business requirements to identify and implement optimal software, integration technologies, and system architectures.
  • Innovation & Efficiency: Identify and recommend emerging technologies in eCommerce, hosting, and integration sectors to enhance efficiencies and improve security.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate collaboration with Lines of Business (LOBs), enterprise architects, security, data engineering, and IT delivery to ensure successful program execution.

Performance-Based Qualifications:

  • Educational Foundation: High school diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience will equip you to deliver complex solutions effectively.
  • Proven Expertise:
    • 10+ years of experience in a systems or solutions architect role, showcasing your ability to design and implement high-impact, scalable solutions across Business, Data, Application, and Technology domains.
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet or exceed business needs and KPIs.
    • Proven track record of aligning technology solutions with organizational goals, achieving measurable improvements in efficiency, performance, and security.
    • Strong ability to innovate and optimize systems using cutting-edge technologies, resulting in enhanced productivity, reduced costs, and business growth.
  • Technical Mastery:
    • Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA): Demonstrated ability to design and deliver successful SOA-based solutions that streamline operations and drive business results.
    • AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Proven experience in utilizing AWS to create high-performing, secure, and scalable cloud-based architectures that meet business objectives.
    • Kubernetes & Kafka: Expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration and Kafka for real-time data streaming, ensuring efficient, resilient, and scalable solutions.
    • Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS): Hands-on experience delivering seamless data connectivity and process automation through iPaaS solutions, leading to optimized workflows and reduced operational costs.
  • Solution-Oriented Skills:
    • Spring Boot & Microservices: Proficient in Spring Boot, enabling you to architect and deliver microservices-based applications that are robust, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.
    • JavaScript & Next.js: Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, particularly Next.js and component-driven architecture, to develop scalable and maintainable digital solutions.
    • Content Management Systems (CMS): Familiarity with CMS development that supports smooth, scalable content delivery across platforms.
  • Security & User Experience Enhancements:
    • Single Sign-On (SSO): Experience in SSO implementation to enhance secure user authentication and streamline access management for improved user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Best Practices & Governance:
    • Track record of reviewing solutions and validating design patterns to ensure consistency with industry best practices, organizational standards, and performance optimization.
