About Us: 

Pluckers is a 32-unit restaurant chain based in Texas. We plan to continue to aggressively grow in Texas and throughout the United States over the coming years. We are looking for a dynamic Accounts Payable Specialist. This position will work closely with and report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager and VP of Accounting & Finance. This position is a very hands-on position that will play an important role in the accounting and finance process.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes weekly check requests, expense reports, and vendor invoices.
  • Processes weekly check runs.
  • Monitors and manages all incoming AP correspondence, including AP inbox.
  • Follows up on past due invoices.
  • Reviews and maintains vendor statements.
  • Follows up with vendors on inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Maintains accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and AP files.
  • Assists in various projects and audits as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager and VP of Accounting and Finance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in an Accounts Payable Specialist role within a high-volume processing environment, multi-unit restaurant a huge plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to organize data efficiently.
  • Ability to multi-task, adhere to tight deadlines and be self-disciplined.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Hours and Work Environment:

  • Full-time, additional hours are required during peak and busy seasons.
  • The position will be based 100% in our corporate office in downtown Austin (this is not a remote position).

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000/yr depending on experience.
